Avoid quick charging for a new Taycan to break in the battery ?

great thanks. Will check it in the morning. I still don’t understand what Porsche’s position is on this point. They say “limit charging speed to preserve the battery” but they also say “of course you can charge at full speed with no damage to the battery”. Which is it?
it's both - fast charging is hard on the battery and it will reduce battery longevity - but then again you have the feature so use it when you need it. And they don't say "no damage" - otherwise their warranty on teh battery (8 years/100,000 miles) would be more generous than requiring 30% capacity loss to trigger the warranty…

There's a battery-saving option somewhere to limit the charging rate to 200kw that I always leave on. Not sure how or even if it changes the charging curve besides limiting the maximum.

Its still very quick! Mine is a road-tripper so will use DC heavily so have it turned on. Last trip the limiting factor was still the glacial speed to be served a coffee at the services, not the car.

If its a really busy day at Ionity then I’ll briefly flip it to full speed and for the odd very long trip to Europe I plan. However optimising shorter more frequent stops still probably minimises my time hogging chargers more than the peak charge rate and has a more
beneficial effect on the battery (roughly 20-85% , avoiding very deep discharges).
