I drove from Dallas to Houston in my '22 Taycan, still under contract for free EA charging. (3 years)
I charged twice on the way down and twice on the way back up. On one of the charges, I received a $19.44 invoice from Porsche against my online credit card, even though I was only at the EA station 25 minutes and was the same station I charged free 2 days prior for free.

I called Porsche to find out what the issue was and after being transferred 3 times finally spoke to someone who agreed it looked bogus but he would need to then have me scan the invoice and forward to another team after receiving an email from support guy, Collin. He could see the charge online but still needed me to print, scan and forward to an email address for further action.

This is not worth my time and totally disappointed in Porsche and their lousy service...Not to mention the PCM is complete garbage. I still need to reboot regularly and GPS never works properly. Complete disappointment!

30 minutes later...still no email in spam folder or inbox.

Hah, I’m (still) going through a similar issue. I got a not insignificant charge in the monthly charging bill from Porsche. It had a ridiculous idle time fee for one of the charges - it was from when I was on a road trip.
I emailed Porsche with the details, got a solid response from someone in Porsche customer service that they’d “look into it”. Since then, nothing. I try to send them a reminder each week that I remember, but it’s been literally months at this point. Sorry for any lack on good news / better insight.

Same thing happened to me on a trip between Houston to Dallas as well. The way there was fine, but on the way back, I was charged 2x - one for $2.xx, and the other for $1.xx. So, it was not worth my time to bother with it. But, yeah for $19.xx, I'd have made a phone call too. Recently, I was charged for 1 min idle time even though I shut it off at the 29 min mark, and it even shows that on the screen...must be another software glitch.

I am only getting about 190 miles range. I really don't plan to use my Taycan for long trips anymore since after doing the math...it is just a little more cost to use gas than it is to pay EA .56/kwh and I won't need to stop 3-4 times and 2 hours wasted waiting to go to Houston and back, instead just once at a 5 minute gas station fill up.

I pay .13/kwh at home, where it is more convenient and economical. Makes sense here for local driving.

On the way there, I set the cruise at 85, and put it in range mode so I got around 215 miles. But people were flying past me, so my wife wasn’t happy with that. So on the way back, I went back to my normal driving routine and followed the fastest guy and got around 200 miles. Even though I stopped twice to charge, I think I could have been able to get away with just one so it’s not bad. I did leave the hotel with a destination charger at 100% SOC though.

I plugged into an EV charger then went to dinner at a restaurant directly across. When I returned I found I had a $30 bill for "idle time" at the charger. But the first 30 minutes were indeed free! I guess I learned my lesson.

3 hours later and still never received the email to escalate.
Guess I’m eating the cost either way.
