We've suspected @Jonathan S. tales of woe about fast charging problems in NE USA were exaggerations...... ;)
I came from another EV I had since early 2021, and I can confirm EA in New England has not been reliable.
Connecticut seems to have treated me best though.

I should have taken a video to record the sound the car makes at 330. The cooling system was working really hard.
Battery temp was like 114 when I pulled it off the charger.

Which dealer in the Philadelphia area? And sounds like you would recommend them for an out-of-state buyer?
Porsche Main Line outside Philadelphia.
It’s about 25 min from the airport.
Flew there in the morning, did the paperwork and took delivery, and left at 1pm.
We did everything remotely ahead of time, so I only had to visit once.
They’re very nice and knowledgeable on the Taycan, so I’d definitely use them again.

I’m new to the brand, so I don’t have another experience to compare it to.

Massachusetts makes it difficult to buy any car out of state, so you just gotta be willing to do some legwork with your insurance and the DMV to sequence the necessary documents and plates ahead of time.

@trycan Which Hartford CT area EA did you use?:

It was this one. The in-car nav picked it.

Auxxi Horizon Commons (Rocky Hill, CT)
1899 Silas Deane Hwy, Rocky Hill, Connecticut 06067-1305

When stopping in my other car, I would always check in on plugshare and leave a comment while waiting. I didn’t have time for any of that, it was short like a gas station stop, just fill and go.

I didn't know that one was there. I travel to that area occasionally.

This does seem to receive consistently excellent reviews.
Many of those reviews reference how the chargers are new.
I found a reference that the station opened in April this year. Hope it stays in good condition! That location off of I-91 could definitely be convenient for me on some trips, so maybe I’ll give EA another chance…at least at this station.

Glad to know that, thanks!

And only a few miles away from where I bought my A6ar a couple years ago - seems like a good part of the Philadelphia suburbs to buy expensive German cars!

I see that the Porsche dealership there has a total of 28 Taycan listings, used and new combined.
Although only one CT - come on people, buy more of the CT so that I’ll have more to choose from in the future if I go the used route again!

I had been very nervous about buying out of state given our lack of temporary plates and how some dealers outside of Massachusetts want nothing to do with our RMV.
But the paperwork turned out to be easy to have the dealer to complete remotely, then I biked down to my closest RMV to pick up a set of plates, and took the train down to Philadelphia.
Had to wait just a few minutes for the dealer to install the front license plate bracket since I hadn’t noticed that PA doesn’t have front plates, so they didn’t realize I’d want that.
Then down to DC to visit friends and eventually back to MA. I’d definitely buy out of state again anywhere down to around DC, even though MA regs are biased to help MA dealers given the lack of temp plates.

I am picking up my 2025 4S on Friday around mid-day (very excited). Google maps states 329 miles between dealership and home.
I fully plan to attempt this route without stopping for a charge -- do you guys think I can make it?

Spec relevant to range:
Performance battery +
21" Spyder design wheels w/ AS tires (sorry, I like the looks)
Steel roof
Active ride
Driving alone, climate controls off
(anything else?)

The exact route is unpredictable, with many options -- basically Philly to Boston which means passing thru/around NYC and traffic may be formidable. I'll be on CarPlay/Waze to choose the routing, which I normally choose the fastest, but in this case I may choose shortest routing. I don't want the trip to take forever, but a little extra time in traffic may help range due to slower travel speeds.
I know some MagicDocks in CT, and worst case a few EA options as I get closer to home. I don't plan to get stranded, but want to push this machine to see what range can be achieved.

What else would you guys suggest to make this a success?
I've done the NJ to Boston route a few times on my Taycan, there are plenty of EA stations along the way (mostly in CT) and other brands if you get one of the other EV-charging apps. I think you'll be fine - just plan for a charging stop-over somewhere in CT to be safe. To note, I made it Boston to NJ on my '21 Turbo without stopping to charge (drive distance was ~240 miles). The 2025's have a lot more range.

If you do try this...your speed and wind resistance will play a huge part in it. Anything over a 70mph headwind will cut in to your expected range. That direction ma give you a tail wind but looks like a congested (stop and go) drive.
