Perhaps toggling it on / off may reset something which has got muddled.

You've not yet confirmed (I think) that your timer settings are visible in the PCM when you send them - this is obviously a critical part of the process.
Well, it was enabled anyway so I haven't touched it.

I just enabled my timer for 0600, sent it to the car then, after it'd sent successfully, walked out to the car to see what it looked like.

Timer in app:

View in car when I first got in (note: the '--c' is curious...):

And after PCM had booted enough to let me access the climate menus:
Porsche Taycan Cabin preconditioning - have I got it wrong? IMG_1347

So all looks ok. Although I do wonder if the '--c' view at first meant it hadn't synced properly until I turned on the ignition..? Seems unlikely given it had the correct time.

I’ve not touched the setting on the console, but this is how it is currently. I should add Octopus controls the charging on my car and add charging timers and would delete any climate timers I have set when they do that. Therefore I only set climate timers occasionally, when there’s no charging due, most of the time I do it on demand from the app.

Perfect!

The temp will be whatever you last left the in car setting at unless you've overridden that in the App. Essentially will default to last used setting - 19C in this case.

Right, I see. I haven't done anything different this time, to what I'd done the other times, except for going out to the car and checking what was set in there... So it'll be interesting to see if it works.

edit: Although the climate in the car was last set to 20, not 19.

But you have set 19C in the app which takes precedence if you use the app to set the timer. If you set in car to say 21 lock the car and then check the app for your next preheat it should show 21C.

Sure, but my confusion was that it said neither (at first), implying it was missing some parameter value.

I tested mine and it worked as expected. I set it as a one time Tomorrow Timer with Pre-condition cabin, see settings, and this morning I got a message in the App that it was done, I checked the car and sure thing it was pre-conditioned as programmed. Then as expected, the Timer is on the Off position after it ran since it was a one time.

Yes. Well, the app said it had sent it. Whether it actually made it there or not is presumably the crux of the problem.

Moment of truth this morning! After checking everything yesterday, I awoke excited to see if it had worked as expected. And had it?!

... No.

So now I'm stumped.

Jet!

Dealer visit - 12v reset or PCM reboot.

If you manually start preheat from the app does that work?

Yes, starting it manually works fine so, while it's annoying to not have it work as intended, I can at least use that as a workaround.

Remove all timers and profiles.
This resets the charging planner.
Check this in-car too.
