Cannot connect to phone or navigation

My Taycan has shown an endless “loading device manager” or “loading navigation” for the past 24 hours. Have turned off and on car to no avail. When I try to do a factory reset, it tells me to turn on the vehicle - but the vehicle is on.

I tried the two finger reboot at the upper right corner but not sure I’m doing it right as it does not reboot for me. Perhaps I’m pressing the wrong area?

Have you tried locking the vehicle with the key fob, walking away for 15 minutes or so and then unlocking with the fob and starting again?
Worth a shot if not.

this is really no help for you, but it is the pattern of general electical/tech issues this car has.
try deleting the cars connection to your phone and the phone's connection to the car and then reconnect things and see what happens. delete the connection to the PCM and reconnect.
it is so annoying when I have to reconnect my IPhone 50% of the time I start the car.

Honestly for anyone having glitches I would take it back in and not just ignore it. It may be something the dealer can address, and if its after the big update maybe some update didn’t complete properly and is “out of sync.”

I am one of those who has had no glitches (except on crash of the sign recognition) since the update.

I would love to bring it in. In fact, had two separate appointments for the software update and got a call from my dealership to reschedule to end of June as they have had trouble updating vehicles with Taycans sitting in service for weeks. Doesn’t instill much confidence, unfortunately.

it HAS to be partly dealer skill, as I’ve said mine has done many and they have had no failures so far.

completely agree!

oddly tonight, things just started working again having done nothing different. Let’s hope the glitch doesn’t come back.

After the update? I have exactly this problem, but the PC made me aware of this, and they talking to Germany to get a solution for this.

My software after the update is clearly in a worse state than it was before. I do like the better breaking...

True, but if you have problems anyway, then you might just dump it with the PC and let them sort it all out?

Probably, the car was parking away from your wifi router and the phone was not recognizing the wifi, for some odd reason. I won't waste my time and go to dealer, if the issue has been fixed. They usually want to see the concern happening to try to fix it, or noting they will do after leaving the car their. At least this was my experience with all dealers.

Well, same issue again this morning. Was hoping a PCM reboot would help avoid a trip to dealership but I have never been able to do the two finger upper right corner as described in the forums.

I'm having exactly the same issue. For the last 24-36 hours, nothing connects. Just stuck on loading device manager.

Resetting to factory settings does not work either.
Switching users is also not possible.
Homelink doesn't work either.

Here's what I did last night to finally get it working. If you try to just do the two finger reboot, the PCM will just give the error message of "please turn on the vehicle" despite the vehicle being on.

So, I locked the car and came back 30 minutes later (may be able to do it sooner). Start the car and before logging into your profile, do the 2 button finger reboot. After the reboot, the car has since connected to navigation and my iPhone again. I'll update it it fails again, but so far so good.
