My usual is a bit anal. Snowfoam > rinse > 2bucket method> rinse > microfibre dry > tyre dressing.

all Karcher assisted

Need a non-hosepipe methodology.

Seem to have developed amnesia, as in childhood we didn’t use hosepipes

Get a Karcher Suction pipe and a big bucket. Fill up bucket from tap and dunk the suction pipe in the bucket. Technically you aren’t then using a hose pipe! 😁

I don't think we used to worry too much about 2 bucket methods etc in the past.

I seem to recall washing my Dad's car with 1 bucket containing Washing up liquid back in the day.
🤣

California has a restriction on car washing because of the many years of drought. I got used to washing my car in the garage with a bucket of 0 ppm water and a rinseless car wash such as Optimum No Rinse. I still used the 2 bucket method. It may not be perfect, but at least I can wash my car on my own schedule...

I washed mine recently with a watering can and the usual 2 bucket system. Not easy lifting a full watering can to rinse the roof so probably better using a step next time. I used about 9 cans of water. Makes you realise how much water you use when washing a car.

Recommend googling Rinseless Wash in your browser. There are many brands out there. Personally, I am a DIY Detail user and would recommend their YT channel for tutorials for the best techniques.

I can remember helping my grandad wash his cars with a watering can.

I have mine cleaned once a month by a valeter and she brings her own “spotless” water in the back of the van, so haven’t been using any of ours. Worth every penny to have it showroom clean each month
