Charging Issue on Timer/Profile - Initializing

Starting having charging issues these past couple days when a timer and/or profile is set. Prior to this incident, not a single charging issue charging on both a timer and profile with my Tesla Wall connector & Porsche Mobile Charger.

Issue:
-After the charger is plugged in with a timer/profile set, the bottom screen will calculate when the charge will finish and put it on hold "Charging Hold" until parameters are met (12:00am). I will lock the car and after 5 minutes, the app and bottom screen will show the "turning circle" saying "Initializing". This will make the Taycan continue "thinking" and not charge the vehicle on the set schedule. I will wake up in the morning with the car not charged.

Notes:
-The Tesla wall connector and Porsche Mobile Charger will both charge the Taycan if plugged in and "Direct Charge" is selected. However, I need a timer and profile set so I can charge to 85% starting from 12:00am-5:00am.
-I have tested with my own Tesla wall connector and Porsche mobile charger. I have also tested another tesla wall connector and Porsche mobile charger at another house using the same timer/profile and the same issue persists. Leads me to believe the issue is my car.
-Have also rebooted the PCM several times as well.
-Did not have an issue a week ago

Vehicle:
-2021 Taycan Turbo S (all recalls completed: WRM1 and ARB7)

Seeing if anyone had the same issue and what was the fix.

My car has just been in to correct adaptive regen issues and they updated the software on the HV. Now I can’t smart charge. It initially starts charging but will stop and the car gets stuck in “initializing”

You could may be try Direct Charging for 30 mins, say, and then test again the Timer. Just to reset the BMS a bit.

I might find a possible solution.

1. Make a Successful scheduled charging.
EX: Set a scheduled profile/timer 15 min later, for 30 min. Don't lock the door until charging begins.

2. Schedule as before.

Status Update:
1. I did some experiments and suspected hardware issue. Probably sensor wake-up failure at right charging port.
2. I decide to contact service center for further inspection.

Has anyone else found a solution for this problem? Still experiencing the same issue. It can’t be a coincidence that we all have the problem at a similar time.

Following up update : Service center suspected it as J1.1 OBC issues. It takes 2-3 weeks for 11KW (J1.2) parts to arrive for replacement.

This doesn’t help fix your car, but it might help fix your lifestyle while you wait… my charger (Grizzly, I’m a Canadian after all) can allow charging at certain times and then prevent it. I can also set the amperage it charges at. I assume that’s all pretty standard. What if you use direct charging and hobble your charger and limit its time so it controls when charging stops. At least that way you don’t have to watch your car for three weeks while you wait for parts.

Same issues here since last month. Mine is a MY2023 RWD PB+ 22kW OBC.
The issue appears not only in case of scheduled charging but also with direct charging (via My Porsche app and by pushing the button in the car). Deconnect and reconnect charging cable helps for no longer than the next single immediate charging session.
Very disturbing and all this comes on top of the major navigation issues that many among us are already experiencing as well. Reading now this thread, II fear a new series of major problems where Porsche AG and the dealers have no clue on what is going on. Appointment in the PC tomorrow.

Wow, it’s scary that our cars could become bricked due to their inability to recharge.

@Cabblock are you still able to DC charge normally?
