Forgive me, should I start a new thread or keep adding to my thread that mentioned chassis error and my questions about PAR movement quality?

1. Porsche service looked atChassis error - codes indicated it was a low voltage related occurence, was the car not used for a while?
2. Seller did not use car for 2-3 weeks, was charged twice by his car guy.
3. I drove it for 3 hrs day one and no error.
4. Next day driving and at about 3 hrs I get the error.
5. They cleared codes, drove it, no errors, done.
6. Now they are suggesting I DO use a trickle charge on the 12V when I go away for 6 weeks in the near future.
7. WSS6 – Re-Programming 12 V Battery Sensor (Workshop Campaign) does not apply to my car.
8. Service advisor is new, he used to detail cars there.

Do I trickle charge?
Do I insist on talking to the technician?
Anything else?

Thanks
Bob

It does not apply ONLY if it has already been done, has it?
It sure applied to my 2026.

No current recall AND no previous recall completed on this item. Don't think I can take this further.

And the F ing error message returned today. Back to them tomorrow, it will be hard to accept lip service again.

dD you get any other errors or only chassis fault? Does the active ride turn off and the suspension go solid when the error happens? I've had intermittent issues connected to RWS (RWS also errored at same time as chassis) it needed reprogramming. I've also had one of the PAR module fail and it needed replaced. Both of these were intermittent errors but really annoying as the car is pretty much undrivable when PAR turns off.

I do not believe any EV should be "trickle charged". The HV battery is supposed to charge the 12V. The system sw is supposed to manage the charging of the 12V from the HV battery.. On an ICE vehicle, there is an alternator that charges the 12V but there is none for EVs. On EVs, you should plug in the HV charger (J1772) and that should take care of the 12V, if you are away for 6 weeks.

Yes I would insist on talking to the technician in this circumstance. Sounds like the service advisor is not very familiar with EVs.

Also check which Porsche dealer has the best reputation for working on Taycans and Macan EVs in the Bay Area. While it may be a pain in the rear to go somewhere else than the closest or where you got the vehicle, you should be able to take it to any Porsche dealer.

Interesting, never noticed this during the first time chassis error (see pic)
When I turn off the car and before I open the door the screen says this at the bottom, leading me to believe it is warning me about 12V state of charge? Or is this just a reminder not to drain your battery by using screens when vehicle is turned off??

Yes there is a change to ride quality can't really describe "go solid" but it shimmies a little?

Out of town starts in 3 days.
He was suggesting trickle charge and NOT plugging in my Level 2 charger.
I will show them the bulletin on how to store (pretty much plug it in) and insist on talking to their "EV tech" Screen message about state of charge makes me wonder if it is the 12V though they said it was fine.
If they can't solve it I may trickle charge just so the 12V is alive when I get back.

That has nothing to do with it.
In fact, it's a useless notification.
I've seen that a few times but my car has an excellent working 12V recharging system, always has, six years already.

If you would have a problem with the 12V there would be a warning on your dash/app.
That warning is an indication your 12V battery is about to die (if your car is still alive that is).
You don't have that warning.
