I have a MY22 CT4S which had the heater replacement 14 months ago but I have always complained it wouldn’t hold its temperature. Service always brushed it off but when it was in for its 2 year service back in Dec 4th, it came up with an HV battery issue, so I didn’t get my car back. Now I’ve been told it’s an HV heater valve that regulates the heating in the car, that’s my understanding anyway which is better than the battery having issues

Cars been in for 9 weeks now and while I have a loaner it’s not an EV so I’d be interested if anyone has claimed anything from Porsche or VW Financial Services for there car being in for excessive period of time

I know when they reach me the bill for the service there’s going to be more than a few words said. I honestly would love to walk away but I’d be out a lot of money so not an option. I don’t see myself every having another Porsche and I’ve had about 7 over the years but never a 911 which is on the bucket list

I wonder if anyone could give me any advice
My Taycan which I purchased new taking delivery 10th June 2022 is a special car but out of the 31 months I have owned it four months and counting have been in Porsche Main Dealer having numerous recalls and battery issues dealt with. I will be applying for compensation and would welcome any input

The dealer kept my car for seven weeks to replace a high voltage charger and they gave me a hybrid cayenne which I was satisfied with. I don’t think Porsche has an obligation to give you a similar car to yours as a loaner. Just my thoughts.

If the car's leased I'd check the lease agreement - clearly you're not getting what you're paying for, though there may be clauses saying you'll be offered something equivalent if yours is off-the-road.

If you bought outright I'm thinking you're stuck negotiating with the dealer and Porsche's goodwill.

I feel your pain. I rejected my first 22 CT4S (ZGY) to be replaced eventually with a new 23 plate - lot of fuss and aggro. I did experience all their common faults plus some!
My newer 23 plate was ok at first but has broken down x2 in last three months and off the road for the best part of a month.
12v battery, alarms and rattles. Was given an awful BMW which just sat on the drive.

seeing the dealer next week about a possible buy back but looks like a loss of £40k over the 2 years ( +1 if I count first one).
I really don’t know what to do! Great car but …..

I’ve got a few good will credits which will go towards service on my 992 911 Turbo S.

I'm on my second Taycan; it's a great car, and I love the drive and looks, but the reliability is a nightmare. After owning it for over 220 days, I've had it in my possession for only 80 days; the rest of the time, it has been in the workshop. I raised a complaint with Porsche GB and received a minimal offer of compensation. I pushed back, and they increased it slightly, but it still doesn't reflect the lack of reliability or the time I've had the car. I took advice, and honestly, we don't have many rights. You could argue that it's not fit for purchase and force Porsche to take the car back, but if they have offered to repair it and given you a courtesy car, they are entitled to reduce the offer minus wear and tear and consider current market values. In a nutshell, you stand to lose a lot of money. Bottom line, I would never buy a Porsche again after the way they have treated all Taycan customers, but I guess they just don't care because they know the Taycan is a liability to their business.

My sentiments exactly. I bought my car with 3 years CPO warranty on it, and I intend to use the CPO warranty and sell the car for nothing after that.

My car was in service for 45 days, waiting for an onboard charger, and the used car manager tried to talk me into buying a new Taycan. I nicely told him that I would not bear the cost of Porsche releasing a car that was not ready. I would prefer they continue fixing and rebuilding my cpo car for the next 3 years at their expense.

The funny thing is that I own a 2022 V8 Range Rover, and I am living a life where the Range Rover is the more reliable car in my stable. LOL

Drop a line to Porsche HQ (Reading) and copy your dealer.

I would be equally hacked off but they've given you a car interim which kinda lets them off the hook a little.

Also brings into question the dealership's competence - heater issues are a well trodden path as it the valve.

I’ve just been offered £300 (250+ vat) as a result of my Taycan being unusable for the best part of a month!
At least the official Porsche assistance policy in case of EV cars is that they are supposed to give you an equivalent EV while your car is in service, of if a EV is not avaliable, they are supposed to cover fuel costs for any other non-ev car they give you.

If they can't give you any car, they are supposed to cover all costs related to picking / dropping your car off to the service.

But if you accepted less already, assuming you spent more than 250, i think it's a done deal already. I learned my lesson the same way ?

All of this is for EU & Swiss. Don't know how USA or UK works.

I’d push for more, but to be honest I didn’t get much more than that. Highway robbery, excuse the pun! If you get a petrol courtesy car make sure you keep your receipts, otherwise they won’t compensate you even though can demonstrate the value. PorscheGB CEO, it goes to the Executive Customer Care team. [email protected]

I was given a rubbish BMW 3 petrol rental car - a saloon so a useless replacement which sat on my drive . I haven’t accepted anything- just an email confirming the offer!!

Porsche Assistance UK

I can't seem to find the answers in the online t+cs for Porsche assistance, so maybe I imagined it.

But i had in my mind that porsche were contractually obliged to look at cars brought in by PA within 5 working days?

The other query i was wondering about was fuel costs. A few mentions above about reclaiming fuel (diesel) costs for a courtesy hire car, but Enterprise asked for it to be returned full up. Do we get that for the UK does anyone know?

Thanks.
