Did I get comfort access for free?

I didn't spec comfort access (for security reasons) when I ordered my car, it's not on the order note or bill, also not mentioned in the car details on my porsche. It's not part of any pack we have in this country.
However I can open the trunk by kicking the car in the nuts, the door handles extend when I gently caress them (without using the fob, just leaving it in my pocket). That all sounds like it should only be possible with comfort access, right? I can also configure the handles to extend when I come near (I hated this on my tesla).
The 3 month FOD comfort access trial is also not active.
Anyone else had this happen? I'm not complaining, just think it's weird.

Man, I wish mine comes with that mistake too ?

Pretty sure comfort access is standard on all Taycans in the US. And that every 23' Taycan in the world is sold with a manual steering wheel, since the power steering wheel can't be spec-ed due to parts/chip shortages.

23 on the way, AFAIK no missing options, electronic steering column is listed as standard equipment.

Yes, this has been discussed in a few other threads before. For 2023 models, 4S, RWD, and CT4 get manual steering column adjustment. while GTS, Turbo, and Turbo S have electric steering column adjustment as standard equipment.

I think they kept it for trims which had it included, removed it from the optional Comfort Memory, and IIRC they adjusted the CM option price. Same with Bose sound system.

This solution actually makes sense from a logistics point of view. For one, higher trims have less volume, so easier to keep them supplied if the supply is limited. More importantly though, Porsche already has a system in place to manage the shortage with allocations - only issue allocations if all parts are expected to be available. Less electronic columns available, less allocations for cars with those as standard feature. They don't have such a system in place of issuing "4S Comfort Memory" allocations separately from 4S allocations.

My column is electric as well, both driver seat and wheel move in/out position when entering/leaving car, my handles cone out on approach, but no bootsensor found (yet?) I do have 2 close buttons “Close & Locked Close”

Yep - I believe it was part of the memory spec for MY 21. MY 23 had it removed for 4S and below.

I beleive is just Porsche messing around (again) with their cutomers... just to get a bit more cash u know ...lol
if you pay the option your car will lock it self when you go far from the car ; which is not the case normally for you if i am not wrong...

For me experiencing the ST - I wasn't prepared for the constant dirtiness of the truck, and subsequently its opening button -- I am appreciating the "open kick" A LOT ... and nice it was for free (at least)

Never ascribe to malice something which can explained by plain incompetence. (paraphrasing Hanlon’s razor) Porsche software engineering, or maybe even just factory provisioning, may have screwed up, and people are getting free features, be it perhaps temporarily. Tesla has better software than Porsche, but I remember there was a period of time where some people reported getting free autopilot features, worth thousands of dollars, on their new Teslas. Those features were improperly provisioned - Tesla yanked most of them after some audit a year or two later.
