I have never done it on my 911 C2S and not planning to start now. Same goes for the TT. If I don’t keep my cars until the wheels fall off them then I’d it in a heartbeat.

I have only once been in a position to try it on a journey but I was on winter tyres so the TC had to work hard (it probably does on any tyre with that amount of power tbh).
So far no chance to try it on summer tyres. It was impressive on the Porsche experience day, but probably not quite as impressive as the braking!

Have done it a couple time and have noticed sometimes it’s in impressive and others it feels a lot quicker. Always did it it sports plus mode and was never that impressed. Did it in individual mode the other day (Sport Plus Normal Suspension, ride height lowest) and it seemed noticeably quicker. It was on a different road so that May of been the difference.
I will say there is a very noticeable difference between the turbo and turbo S in this instance. Wouldn’t think that only 70hp would add that much but it does.

Waiting for that first oil change, (please note the sarcasm)

I do agree with a couple hundred miles for the transmission and gears to seat but in 1200 miles I've done about 10 launches, with and without launch control just to learn the dynamics. the 4S is pretty incredible for being one of the "slower" versions.

I asked the GM of the dealership to give me a discount and throw in some usual goodies before I sign. He said, sure, lifetime of oil changes. I should have come back with how about lifetime of brake fluid changes instead.

I have not yet looked at a service manual to understand what the services look like but at a minimum it looks like 20k miles or 2 years for brake fluid flush, and I will be handling cabin filter replacement myself much more often than the manual says. I am sure the tires and alignment need to be inspected frequently outside of the usual tire pressure monitoring.

I am just in the break in, learning, and fixing transport damage mode, with some tint and PPF redo this Friday by the shop that they should have done correctly in the first place, so not 100% out of the delivery mode to cross into the drive and enjoy it fully mode.

just make sure your front wheels are pointing straight before releasing the brake...

And there's a bit of a head rush as the blood in your brain pools in the rear of your cranium

For me the launch does not feel like the car accelerating, it feels like the road 30m ahead is being pulled towards the car. Love it, and the noise the stereo makes with launch control. ICE will always sound better and give more of an overall "buzz" but I do love the "see ya" feeling.

My son and I did it 3 times each on Porsche experience day. The brain and stomach wobbles were never in sync so 3 times was enough?
