Mine has RAS but not that menu option.
Hmm so if you mounted chains you couldn't disable it? That's strange. I thought it were mandatory and incompatible.

Do you have any reference on this? I am trying to find some other post on the subject but have a real hard time finding a proper answer. This post and this post seems to confirm I am not the only one with RAS that don't have this menu.

Only reference I have is from the bmw x5 manual, a long time ago. If I remember correctly, you couldn't have snow chains with RAS enabled because there was a risk of the chains hitting the wheel housing (which makes total sense). I didn't even flitch when I saw that option in the pcm simulator as it just confirmed what I've read years ago.

Hmm. I was thinking, maybe snow chains weren't permitted at all, at least in the Taycan turbo I have for the North American market, but the manual does have a section on "Using snow chains" and it seems fine. Only on rear wheels and only with some tires, but that should apply here.

The section does not mention anything about rear axle steering. It does mention that the snow chains should be Porsche approved "so that sufficient clearance between the wheel housing and chain is assured", though.

It's possible that there is still enough clearance then.

I think it is country specific - doesn't appear on my GTS nor did it appear on my 4S (both have / had RAS).

Might it be that the option to disable RAS for snow chains only appears when other PCM settings (e.g. tyre/wheel size) are compatible with chains?

Luckily you guys have an obsessed member with an accute case of Taycanitis who spends his day playing with the pcm simulator.

This should fix the issue? Specially if assigned to the steering wheel button?

That's funny because the latest online manual (in the myporsche app) doesn't mention RAS at all. I searched and searched and couldn't find it. I did find the same texts you quoted.

I used the GB Version of the pcm simulator. Not sure how accurate the simulator is though. I don't get a list of tire sizes in it, for example.

I salute the nerve needed to park like this !!! I am sure there is some kind of trophy for you somewhere !! just wow.
It's not as bad as it seems. I wouldn't park that close in a brand new environment. This is the same garage I've parked multiple cars for many years, so I know it very well and had a lot of practice. Also notice the reflective stickers on the side towards the back which are invaluable when parking at night or when there is rain on mirrors and window (hitting the brakes lights up the reflective stickers well). The more difficult feat, which I have yet to attempt with the Taycan (but have done in the past with the Model S) is pulling in and out of the garage with a car to my left and another one parked in front of me. Not yet sure that will be possible as the Taycan approach angle to the right side in that case it close to 45 degrees, which might not be possible with RAS, but I'll see some day when I get the time to try it out and practice (used to do it a lot in the past when we often had a car in a driveway, but one of the kids moved away so this is not an every day situation).

If this option is always in the same menu as Jack Mode (in Additional Chassis Settings), I can confirm that it doesn't appear on my Turbo CT even if I have the R20 Winter Tires selected, since I swapped them recently to all-seasons for the summer and when doing so had to activate jack mode. When I was doing this, I remember thinking to myself - with only a single option in this sub-menu, why does it have to be a sub-menu?

I think we know we're the option is intended to be but as mentioned above it is region specific at best. Not available on UK, US, other regions.

I wonder why that would be region specific. Is the RAS deflection different in different countries?
