So 600hp cars of Taycan's calibre (a Prius is not a valid comparator); may depreciate a tad more than predicted a month ago..
Ok, if 600hp is a qualifying criteria to be a competitor, and the badge prestige, you'll have to compare against 911 Turbo S (non of the lower trims would be considered competitors by your criteria, engines not powerful enough). Do you think they will depreciate more because of increased gas prices?

I'm paying about $0.14 per Kwh in Canada, so that's more like 10 cents USD. I'm really happy to have an electric car, not that I can't afford to pay an extra $20 per fill up, but I hate the feeling of getting ripped off.

I just love that I can charge at home. If I could have my own gas pump that gets it’s gas from a utility company that would be great too!

I want my Taycan back! I’m in a base Macan ICE loaner due to many leaks and other issues in my Taycan - OPC has had it 2.5 weeks so far. 😭
It’s only a base Macan but I’m getting less than 25mpg average (less than my old RS6 average!).
I want to fill up on my £0.07/kWh tariff and my solar please!

What’s leaking?
Curious to make sure I’m paying attention

I was about to say comparing it a Prius doesn’t make any sense. Needs to be a somewhat comparable ICE car, so a 911 Turbo is way more fair. Forget the depreciation for a second, what’s the run rate on gas and maintenance of a 911 Turbo vs your Taycan‘s electricity and maintenance.

I’m not saying I don’t care about the depreciation problem, but sticking to the run rate side of this, that’s what I’d be curious about. My guess is the Taycan is cheaper, but I haven’t done the math.

These are my budgets for my old Taycan Turbo S and my current 911 Targa 4 GTS. They are all my estimated and planned costs but do not include fuel. But it does help give a sense of the cost of ownership between both vehicle types.

If you are feeling guilty, perhaps take solace in knowing how much your Taycan depreciated
You don't have any depreciation when you still own your Taycan.
You do when you lease.

Anyway, let's get our babies out today, almost for free!
Nope, I'm not feeling guilty, I'm feeling I, once again, made the right decision.
Their problem isn't mine, jee! 🙌🏼

^^^

If fuel was that cheap in Europe there would be dancing in the streets! It's about 50% of the average price here before the current spike.
