Well, I am in the same boat, no heat. I had not driven it for a couple of weeks. It was also extremely cold here during that time, -12 F. Bringing it in on the 11th. Sigh.

Quick update on mine. Confirmed with the dealer that they're replacing the heater and we're just waiting on the parts now.

Slightly off topic, but since I had mentioned it prior, they are also replacing the entire rear spoiler as well. Not just the actuators, but the entire thing where they had to send the part off to get painted.
Hi guys. Same problems here with heat pump on 2021 4s.

Yesterday evening I was driving and the air started becoming cold... after 30minutes it started warming up again.

this morning I started my day (with2 trips of 130km/each planned). It commenced working after 20/30minutes, same in the way back.
Maybe a problem on some temperature sensor ? Anyone had same issue working/not working randomly?
21 4S ….two months ago started with fan booming but no air coming out, this fixed itself after two weeks, since then, randomly, car suddenly fogs up. Demister will clear it quickly. Many many HV heaters failing on others as evident in several heater threads. I’ve no idea what is going on with mine, am waiting for a complete failure sometime soon

I had this random fog up this morning, the defog button worked, but I NEVER had any of my previous cars fog up randomly after like 20 miles in on a ride.

At what point and how many of these heaters have to fail in Taycans until Porsche issues an actual recall? Actually, I think I already know the answer to that. Porsche first has to test and source an improved replacement part, then amass and distribute a healthy inventory of them before triggering a worldwide recall campaign so that they don't end up having repeated incidents of heater failures and piss off more customers who had higher expectations from the marque.

The sudden fog up part way through a journey is a warning.

Mine fogged up in seconds, out of the blue - part way through a long journey. I managed to clear it straight away with demist on and all was well the rest of the journey.

The next day it failed. Didn't fog up, but no heat at all. Hasn't worked since.

I find it hard to believe that it's all a coincidence that 20 and 21 cars are all failing this year and not last winter?
The weather has been a bit colder here, but not much.
I know I keep saying it, but it's not related to uPdate is it, because something is causing it??

The only good thing is that, as I am getting a hire car, I can sing this to myself again..... ?

Hi

It’s not just 20/21 cars, brand new cars (model year 2023) are arriving with the heating not working. My Taycan GTS was due to be collected on 4.12.22 and still at dealers as awaiting part. So issue is much wider.

Had I read on here that the replacement is a new part?

Had I also read that Porsche are going to continue to replace them after warranty, as its effectively faulty manufacture?

Confirmation either way from anyone that knows the answer please. ?

I know that some are coming out of the box with the fault Jabber. So that could be put down as a faulty batch or something.

But the fact that so many older cars have been ok previous winters and are all going pop at the same time suggests something is different this year.

The only thing that old and new cars have is the uPdate software that I can think of.
Did this not have some changes to thermal management (sorry I am no ev expert)?

This sounds like a solid theory to me.

So the other day, when it was -10, my heater stopped working. The fan was blowing, but it was blowing cold air. I tried restarting the car, and I charged it up to 80% overnight, thinking something might reboot. No luck. Seemed to me that the heating element somehow fried. Brought my car into the dealership without an appointment. They were awesome. Took the car and even found a demo for me to take so I would have a car to drive. Next day got a call that it was indeed the heating element. Had to be replaced but it was on back order. No idea when I would get my car back. Could be a month or more. Thank goodness I can rely on my dealership, they have always been awesome to deal with (unlike some others I have read about in various posts). I have a car to drive while I suffer like so many others from the world wide supply chain debacle. Has anyone else experienced issues with their heaters?
My High Voltage heater went to last month. Called my Service Advisor, based on NO HEAT, she said it sounded like the High Voltage Heater was pooched. She confirmed that they had one in stock and I brought the car in the next morning. I was given a Loaner ( Cayenne ICE), nice ride too. Heater was replaced, but strangely, after it was installed, the Tech could not get the car to go into Drive or Reverse. Solution was reprogram, update several modules. Has worked as expected since. Pfaff Porsche have been great.

I’ve got a 21 T4S Taycan, air conditioning stopped working in summer, dealer appointment took 3 months to schedule. Replaced part and onboard charger for some reason. Heating stopped working in mid December before the cold snap. Next dealer appointment mid Feb! East London Porsche bit of a joke. Fed up called Porsche Assistance, AA recovered the car to dealer and forced them to fix. Wait for new part from Germany until mid Jan. Hire car C Class Mercedes I had to arrange myself from Enterprise! Do I sell the car before more problems?

I'm not so sure this is related specifically to the update; there's at least 41 confirmed cases of failures in https://github.com/evstatus/PorscheTaycan/issues/1 from before summer of 2022.
