I only get hot air when it’s set to max. Did the heater fail it’s a bit weird. Anything below max is like warm at best. Battery is already pre condition before I set off as well due to my morning timer.

My heater just failed. MY23 that I took delivery in May 23 that I was hoping had the new part. Coincidentally also had just went in for recall work. Blowing cold wind starting this afternoon - my toddler was freezing in the back! Hardly acceptable but I’m preaching to the converted.

I have a MY23 as well but the heater didn’t have the opportunity to fail ? They replaced it back on October part of a recall.

J1.2 seems to have a stronger heatpump & different ECU coding.
You would think they would just deploy those on j1.1 also as replacement, seeing how often the old model fails...

My failed a month ago. Part was backordered but Porsche did release one to the dealer after about 3 weeks. If you are in a hurry and your dealer doesn't have one and can't get it immediately from Porsche, , be advised that some dealers have the part in stock and are willing to transship to another dealer (e.g., Byers).

That’s appalling! I hope I don’t have to wait three weeks.I’m not off to a good start as I have to wait til next week just to get a loaner. Better dress warm!

No, much stronger heat pump and different ECU managing heating; can be seen in my previous post.
Ok great. Does the J1.2 suffer from any known common issues that we know of yet?

Noy yet, but maybe you'll be the first to report on some issues ;)
New taycan sales are very bad, so not exactly a whole lot of people reporting yet.

I had the heater on MY20 4S replaced in April 2024 under the WPL8 campaign and it just failed again. Not sure why these heaters are so fragile but two failures is nuts. Awaiting to hear from my dealer if they have the part in stock and can repair later this week. It’s also bananas that the car can’t communicate that this component has failed.

That is a worry! I thought the new revised heater units were reliable now?

Are there any reports from other EV’s about heaters failing to the same extent? Or is Porsche the only one using that Webasto unit?

I know BMW in their i4 have 2 (two) heaters of 9 kW each, but not aware of the same fault rate.

Was the revised part available in April last year? I thought it was a bit later than that, but can't recall when mine was (pre-emptively) done.

My MY23 CT heater just died. Blowing cold air. Do you guys know if it’s going to be covered via warranty?

Should be - has the car ever had its heater replaced yet?
