It seems inevitable that we'll be able to spec out Porsches in the Vision Pro in a year or two from now ?
No idea if just me but cannot login to TestFlight/Sidecar as of last hour.

There was a requirement to sign an updated Apple dev agreement which required you to do so via the web site for Apple Connect. Did that but whether I attempt to login to Sidecar via app or watch it reports a Porsche server connection issue.

Despite a number of repeated attempts to launch in Testflight I can still login to MyPorsche on the web I.e. no sec. block triggered there.

Anyone else?
Weird thing is the watch still displaying current correct info.

Same here. Getting repeated Porsche Connect Error 1 messages. My Porsche app is functioning fine and I’m also seeing the correct info on the watch.

Unfortunately the auth endpoints that we’re using are quite outdated and seem to be on their way out entirely. I’m exploring other options for being able to access the api, but in the meantime expect spotty stability of the app at best :(

FYI @featherless – I worked today on getting Auth0 support into the PorscheConnect library and away from the old Ping/login.porsche.com iDP.

It's not ready for production ready – most due to tests – but I hope to get it merged soon enough. It was reassuring that the existing Porsche Connect CLI worked with the new auth without requiring any change.

I haven't seen any auth failures in my testing so far.

For folks wondering why suddenly auth is so unreliable – here is the explanation:

https://github.com/driven-app/porsche-connect/issues/160#issuecomment-1585862970

Porsche has moved away from their old Auth provider and is retiring (obviously fairly agresively) the old iDP that the PorscheConnect library that apps are using integrated with.

Companies do not move identity providers easily or frequently – so once we've got this code shipped – auth should settle down and be reliable again.

Here is the WIP code changes to adopt the new identity provider: https://github.com/driven-app/porsche-connect/pull/161/files

v1.2 is now available on TestFlight with a fixed authentication flow! The app's also been rewritten from the ground up to make more efficient use of network calls and improve app latency.

Let me know if you see any rough edges! It might force you to log in again on both the watch and phone, but ideally it should auto-migrate you to the new flow.

If you have multiple Porsches, the "default vehicle" feature hasn't been reimplemented yet so in the meantime you'll have to use Apple's flow for customizing widgets. As far as I know you can only do this on iOS though; for your watch it will resort to selecting a semi-random vehicle from your garage (though it should remember your previous setting if you'd made one). I'm planning on fixing this in the next build.

Required log in separately on watch and phone (as you suggested) - took couple refreshes within app on watch to finally update watch face - looking good and no issues accessing all new content etc

Thx so much for putting out this rapid release with newest Auth flow - very much appreciated!

I was able to log in for the first time with this new build. Excited to play around with it.
Thank you!

Great to hear! I suspect most folks who were having a hard time logging in before should find the v1.2 build to be much more stable.
