Some observations. Tried the preconditioning function on my watch and it worked. Took a bit of time to be activated. Five to ten seconds. But that is probably more Porsche than Apple. Unlocking our Merc with the app is almost instantly, Porsche takes some seconds.

The widget now show charging and plugged in. The ring keeps blinking also when not charging, it would be better if it didn’t blink when plugged in but not charging. When plugged in it shows a ? and charging shows a .

All the functions worked for have me in past although have not used recently including lock/unlock - my MyPorsche app takes just as long on its own so no real diff there but you’re correct in that WAY too slow in either case - def a Porsche issue.

Thanks. Just tested that and it worked indeed. It did show it locked the car on the watch. May be nice to have a message car locked or locking confirmed. But it changed to locked in the My Porsche app.

Hey all! A few updates

I'm working on getting official access to the Porsche APIs so that Electric Sidecar is something that I can feel confident in the app's long-term stability. As-is, the use of the unofficial APIs means things could break at any time without much warning, and I'd prefer to provide a high quality, stable experience for all of us

With that in mind, I'm going to hold on releasing the app to the App Store for now, but I will continue to release updates via TestFlight to all of us. Am hoping to officially launch it into the App Store on the order of months from now.

I'm now focused on polishing the app, dialing in all the little details and expanding the core features so that the app feels like a complete, personalized extension of the car ownership experience. I'll continue sharing updates here as new features get worked on. A couple of the things that will be going out in the next release include:

- A new widget form factor (and the first one for the phone home screen!) that's optimized for accessibility. This is the same Charge widget you've been using everywhere else, but this variant is great if you prefer larger text on your phone.

- On iOS 17, you'll also be able to see this widget in Standby mode.

Minor updates:
- The login flow now correctly handles keyboard return to advance to the next field.
- There's now an "Edit" button on the Accounts page for more easily deleting accounts.
- I'm also starting to work on the ability to configure the colors used for the charge bar but am still noodling on a good UX for that flow.

Looks that My Porsche is down down? Again
Interesting thing is, that Sidecar app lost contacts about five hours ago, while MyPorsche didn’t update data since Monday.

I’m not using MyPorsche anymore.
I checked it today, when I noticed that Sidecar doesn’t have right SoC data.
Then I found out that new version (8..0.0) is already installed last Monday….and it looks that was the last time when MyPorsche connected to the server…

Sidecar last update was at 4:51pm (it’s 11:06pm right now).
