I seem to have a bunch of maintenance items on my main page that are in German. Can I turn this off somehow?

Can you share a screenshot of those with me via [email protected]? If you can also share your Porsche API locale (from the Settings tab, Accounts, your account), that will also help identify why you're seeing the items in German rather than your device locale.

Ah it looks like you might be based in Canada, and Porsche doesn't have a known locale for Canada which is why Electric Sidecar is falling back to the Germany servers.

I've made a fix to find the next closest locale with a matching language which should resolve this. This fix will go out in the next update (I'm on a plane right now so it'll likely get published in a day or two). The maintenance items should then be in English/French, depending on your system locale preference.

Separately, are you wanting to hide the maintenance reminders even if they're localized correctly?

Yes it would be nice to have those under a button to view or not rather than take up a full screen above more useful information. My car always has service items outstanding on Porsches website even after I just had the two year service done. I’m not sure if this is just my car or a Canada thing.

Noted! I'll prioritize the vehicle screen order edit feature I've been noodling on for a bit. It'll allow you to reorder any item within the home screen for a vehicle, in addition to outright hiding cards (they will still be accessible via drill-down links).

This is from the Porsche website and I believe it is in the sidecar app but in German.

v1.4.0-76 is out. Small release with the following changes:

- Further improvements to German localization thanks to @dws_ch
- Resolved more decoding errors with Porsche API endpoints.
- The Porsche account page now shows the current device locale identifier in addition to the inferred locale.
- Porsche accounts now fall back to the next-closest locale based on language equivalence, rather than falling back to German.

Thanks. The incorrect reminders are now in English at least. Hopefully you can minimize this or something to get it out of the way.

Quick question - so I had the required brake fluid flush, air filter etc (2 yr) service done and have reset all the reminders in the PCM but Sidecar has not updated at all i.e. still showing brake flush and a general inspection required .... perhaps just a delayed comms issue as I seem to recall after resetting another reminder that SC updated almost realtime before. The Porsche App however has updated in respect required service having been cleared.

Thoughts?

Cheers, C.

Does a manual refresh fix this? The maintenance data only gets automatically refreshed once per day in the app by default.

Not at first (multiple refresh attempts) but did it again just now (ca 4 hours later) and boom, it's up to date :) All good.
