[edits to OP in red]

As of last count there will be 85 Ionity sites in the UK total:
- Opened 29
- 17 in construction (include 2 VH sites)
- 8 in planning, and
- 31 Village Hotels sites in planning

The rough timetable, if it can be believed, for the Village Hotels sites (compared to the average Ionity construction time in the UK), is very aggressive indeed.

All these sites to be operational by 2024 apparently.

Thanks for compiling the list…
Yes, the Village hotels Ionity build program seems to be very aggressive.

Yeah I hope having “site selection” out of the equation makes for faster builds. Hopefully they have a fat grid connection they can leverage too.

There will be 65 Ionity sites in the UK total - the existing 22, the 10 variously in construction and the 33 new Village Hotels sites. The rough timetable, if it can be believed, for the Village Hotels sites (compared to the average Ionity construction time in the UK), is very aggressive indeed.

All these sites to be operational by 2024.
London Watford! A bit like London Stansted airport!

I wonder if they'll decide to put one or two in the capital city?

Let's hope they don't fund this expansion by raising pricing on the Porsche charging service

Well Ionity already pushed up their per unit and sub prices back in June. Quite significantly. The only quid pro quo was they reduced minimum sub terms to 1 month.

We are lucky to have such a large discount on PCS.

The announcement was to be build at the existing 33 Village Hotels group sites. Don't think there's any of them in the capital.

If Ionity were to build a station in London itself, would think it would be outside of this particular hotels deal and be a "standalone" site....

Thanks for the update. I popped by Cobham a week or so ago, and was surprised to see they were already underway with the expansion. This is great news, combined with this new expansion.

Cobham expansion progress (photos nicked from a thread I’ve running at SpeakEV).

Also new contactless payment terminal (to comply with new UK Gov charging regs coming into force). Another installed at Chippenham too.

So updates from a member on this topic over at SpeakEV (following conversations with the Ionity contractors on site) suggest that the Cobham expansion is due to be opened by mid-December.

They have 12 of the ABB pedestals now in place.

They have held off installing the Alpitronic HYC400 dual-head units (3 of) that they have planning permission for, until they see what demand is like with the expansion.

Thanks for the update. Shame about the HYC400s not being added from the start, but the 12 new ABBs are very welcome. I'll be using Cobham at the beginning of December, and then again just before Christmas. Would be great to see them working, at least by the end of December.
