Is my battery performance battery plus or not?

Hi - Charged my battery on my Taycan (base) which was purchased with the performance battery plus, to 100% last night before a long trip and was surprised to see the range in the app as ‘268miles’ - which is the top range quoted for the non performance battery plus.

Now, I’m getting used to the Porsche app being about as poorly made as the apps that come with a Chinese fake Fitbit from eBay, but this seems suspicious to me.

Do others see high readings more in line with the expected 100% range with the performance battery plus?

How do we know for sure that the performance battery plus was actually installed?

I have the large battery and I have never seen more than 400 Km in the app. It all depends or your driving style.

Once you enter the destination in the car the range will even be lower if it is primarily highway.

On road trips I am rarely above 340-360 km on PCM. When traveling over German highways the predicted range is often even lower. Around 280 km. I usually schedule charging stops every 250 km.

the range quoted by Porsche is for ideal temperature and lower travel speed.

With a UK range estimate of 268 that is most definitely the PB+ and is impressive.

You used to be able to check the spec of your car from the app or website. Can't find this feature this morning but have a look.

I have the PB+ and have never seen 268 miles (unless I turn the aircon off, when it might get close). This is pretty good for the larger battery - the idea of 300+ miles is a pipedream. But I'm not bothered. 3 hours driving and I need a break.

246 at 100% with PB+, in the UK. That’s about as good as it gets for me. This is with 21” Missions mind you, so reduces the range somewhat.

Yes, it’s still there if you access Porsche Connect via a browser.

I've had 3 different taycans in the last 4 weeks, each one with the larger battery and all say about 235 to 245 miles max range, (the extra 10miles in range mode). That is in Scotland but didn't change from 17 to 26 degrees. Like you I expected more as the website claims more than 300 miles, but this is not a real world value, just the one they use to sell cars.

sounds about right on 20in wheels. I’m currently showing 409km in France on 21 CT alloys.

There is a lengthy report that your dealer can provide for your VIN which lists details of your car's components, including the item numbers of HV battery subcomponents.

After having the correct temperature the next most important factor is speed. Today I covered 137 miles on just under 50% of charge (4s pb+). I literally followed every speed limit to the letter, about 70% motorway 30% A roads. So that’s 270 miles on a full tank, in the UK, in summer, sensible driving……… on 21 inch wheels. If you want range lift your right foot?
