My car was on the same vessel and TYD still shows “On Vessel”. My dealership told me that they expect the car to be on a truck in the next couple of days which is when TYD will update to the “enroute to dealership” status.

btw, I don’t have burmester amp.I heard cars with burmester amp are being held up at the port longer.

I have Burmester, but confirmed with my SA that there’s no hold or stop sale on my vehicle; fingers crossed.

No, it’s a MY23. He said “big software and battery update” … apparently all Taycans that haven’t been delivered are now being held for this update. That’s all he knows.

Ordered in May, produced in Sept, sat in Emden for months, and now this as we near the finish line. This process has taken the joy and excitement out of it completely.

I agree -- this is pretty ridiculous. I first put in my order on 10/21/21 and it's taken this long to get the car 10 miles away from my dealership. It's just been sitting at the port since 11/23, and communication has been horrible. At least your dealer has the vehicle -- so you're one step ahead of me!

My dealership let me know that my car was released from the port today! Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up soon and that there are no more surprise delays.

Anyone on Courage? It left Benicia and my TYD is still stuck at “On Vessel.” I’m curious if anyone is on the same vessel and whether your TYD has updated. I have PECLA and trying to gauge delivery; especially with the floods in NorCal.

Once the ships are out in the open ocean they can no longer be tracked by AIS. You could purchase satellite tracking but that seems unnecessary. TYD is our (I’m on there with you) best bet until it gets close to the North American coast and AIS kicks in again.

Sorry, @kloisdad and @RB2023, for your continued delays. It's probably not long left, though, and fwiw the dealers themselves don't have much insight into the nature of these delays until they take possession.

To try and balance this out a bit: my car spent a month in Emden but eventually sailed on 12/10. The boat docked last Fri, and by Mon it was already past port processing, and ready for transport. My dealer - who, btw, has been nothing short of amazing throughout - received the car yesterday, and I'm due to pick it up Saturday. All in all, it's taken (heh) 11 months almost to the day. I'll post an updated timeline after pick-up.

I'll be collecting from Tacoma, WA. The delivery date says Jan 20 but there may be additional delays. Haven't heard back from the dealership yet.
