June 2023 Deliveries

Finally it is here...My head is spinning at the moment. It came with 2 new 2024 Cayennes that were totally covered. Mine has a lot of dirt and nasty rusty drip spots with interior stamped with footprints and kicks with very little coverage of sensitive leather areas, so just have to take it on the chin for the moment. The plan is to PDI today, take delivery later this afternoon, and then off to PPF owned by Graham Rahal, our local celebrity IndyCar driver. PDI tech said they cannot share any SoH or any other data with the customer, so to contribute to the forum, if someone can help me what I need to get so I can get a read and report on that.

My TYD just updated to July 5th. Previously was supposed to arrive at the dealer today.

nope, he checked his system it updated on his end at the dealership too. He said yesterday it still shows 6/23 but after I texted him that it updated on TYD. He checked and it shows july 12 too

My Porsche online let me add my car to my porsche account with the VIN number. Hopefully thats a good sign and my car will be on its way soon. Still shows in port on TYD but hopefully it allowing me to add it to my porsche means some tech somewhere has passed its PDI thing.

TYD updated for me too. Car's been in port in Benicia since June 13th, and I was told I'd see it soon, but later that it was needed a software update (no Stop Sale, anyway). Now scheduled for July 11th. I can't imagine that it takes that long for a software update. Original allocation was for April, just seen it creep out more and more with every "milestone".

My SA told me it was a software update, but I often have more up to date information than he does. My guess is that "software update" is shorthand for "issues we don't really want to discuss further; you'll get the car when we're ready to hand it over."

Mine has also been in Houston since 5/17 with delivery to the dealer (Denver) on 6/16 (originally end of may). Why do they even bother with this tracking app? Trying to put it all in perspective but it’s disappointing.

We may be Taycan brothers. Mine showed up in the Houston port on 5/16 with delivery scheduled for 6/15. I was told by the SA that it was pending a “Software Update” after which it would have to settle for 72 hours. Nonsensical, but that’s what he said.
He contacted me on 6/21 to tell me that the car had now been cleared by Porsche.

Taycan 4s I ordered has been sitting in Jacksonville for over a month. First told end of May, then June and now mid-July. Dealer has no idea why the delay. That is what is so frustrating; is there a problem with the car? If they put the delivery date back again I am tempted to cancel the order. It is somewhat heartening to know that this is an ongoing problem for many of us but Porsche needs to get its act together. There are many great German cars out there.
