June 2023 Deliveries

Taycan 4s I ordered has been sitting in Jacksonville for over a month. First told end of May, then June and now mid-July. Dealer has no idea why the delay. That is what is so frustrating; is there a problem with the car? If they put the delivery date back again I am tempted to cancel the order. It is somewhat heartening to know that this is an ongoing problem for many of us but Porsche needs to get its act together. There are many great German cars out there.

Tell the dealer to give you a loaner while you wait.

relax buddy. you are new to the forum so you have no idea how many of us here are waiting with no reason given. it is unfortunately, the new normal for Porsche. My car has been at the local port since end of April and still no sign of being released. I was supposed to take delivery in March originally. Porsche could care less you cancel the order. we are just the sucker of their lower end costumers.

We may be Taycan brothers. Mine showed up in the Houston port on 5/16 with delivery scheduled for 6/15. I was told by the SA that it was pending a “Software Update” after which it would have to settle for 72 hours. Nonsensical, but that’s what he said.
He contacted me on 6/21 to tell me that the car had now been cleared by Porsche.

Now I see there is a campaign on your vehicle. Today, Porsche moved 1,849 Taycan's into this status. We've had a few in this status now. It's a pretty quick process once the car gets here.

Once the car arrives, we scan the vehicle and send the report to Porsche. They then either tell us the car is good to go or needs something. The cars we've had so far were all good to go after the scan.

But this doesn’t tell me when it’s leaving Houston. The delivery date hasn’t changed from June 16th so I’ll take that as something positive.

So as of today, my 4SCT was built on May 31st and is currently at Emden waiting transport to the UK. SA reckons end of June for collection

So might just squeeze in to June delivery after all as it has arrived at the dealer today. Doesn't seem to be too bad a delay from built to delivery (order placed January 19th)

My update:

It's been a good long wait; longer than some, not nearly as long as others... "Phew," is all I have to say. Will take delivery in a week or so when I'm back in town. This was ordered early November 22, manufacture completed early May 23.. and now here we are. A solid 7 months. I didn't expect much faster tbh. Here's hoping there are no little gremlins to deal with. But, if there are.. I will deal with those, too.

So, looking forward to just driving. Fast. By myself. In the SoCal twisties. I got this machine to do that job, and, by gum, I will now let it do it.

Mine just arrived at the dealership late last night. Originally ordered 2023 GTS in January for a scheduled April Delivery build slot. Got delayed about 2.5 months overall, but was quick from production to dealership and no long holds at ports. Should be picking up today or tomorrow to sneak into the June Deliveries.

Unsure. TYD says that it will arrive at the dealership between 6/26 and 7/8. I'm preparing myself for a 7/8 pickup as that lines up with how long it took a buddy's Macan from Halifax departure to pickup, secretly hoping that it is earlier, of course!

Got the email yesterday that the car is en route to the dealer (step 10 I believe. )
SA called to let me know that transport times are unpredictable and they sometimes have to hold after delivery for up to 3 days.
Looks like I’ll be an early July delivery after all.

My delivery date just got pushed to July 21. Not that that means much…it can easily change for worse or better any day.

TYD updated to say that my car has now arrived at the dealership (Porsche Oakville). SA has told me that there is still a stop sale on the car, which will hopefully get sorted out soon.
