Hi all. I’m looking for tire recommendations. My Taycan 4CT came with 21” wheels and Goodyear summer tires. These are a little too noisy for my liking. Any recommendations for tires that are more quiet and still N rated? Would going down to 265/30 front and 295/30 rear all season tires make a big difference?

Thanks a lot.

I am a Michelin man, but the OEM Pirelli P Zero PZ4 summer tires were very quiet and honestly much better than expected, but due to wanting to try something new, I replaced them with some Michelin Pilot sport S5 which are an N-rated tire for the Porsche Panamera Turbo S-Hybrid. They are slightly upsized, but fit and function perfectly with no rubbing and the changes are small enough as to not cause any issues. They are of the appropriate weight rating and they look great.

Michelin PS4's would have been fine although not N-rated for our size requirements, but now that the Pilot sport S5 is out which is the replacement for the PS4, I had to try. The PSS5 tire is only available as OEM fitments currently.

They have been amazing performing and quiet. I love them and will continue to use this setup going forward.

If your are hesitant to upsize the tires, the OEM Taycan 21" fitment Pirellis P Zero PZ4 elec summers are very good and very quiet.

Here is a link to the Michelins I am referring to,

If you're looking for an all-season tire, I highly recommend looking at the Conti Extreme Contact DWS-06. The Plus is Y rated, I believe. Not N rated.

I just put on a set of P zero Rs (summer) on mine, and so far so good. They are a bit louder than the Conti ProContact RX (all season).

Yes. I'll mount them again in the winter. They are quieter than the Pirellis (IMO). Overall a nice soft ride, with good grip on the corners. Not much experience yet with wet driving on them, though. But I live in Portland, so only a matter of time.

Mine are OEM All Season Conti Pro Contact. I like them but wanted to leap for All Season Michelins (not N rated), however, only fronts worn out at 20k miles and rears are only halfway, so stuck with the same tire choice. Surprisingly, I have been on almost worn out 1-2mm on the fronts and never had an issue with grip in cold, dry or wet weather.

Thanks for the reply. What size wheels do you have? Do you find them pretty quiet?

My car came with 21” all season continentals, but I wanted summer tires and different rims so I just got the Goodyear Eagles. I think they are similar in noise level, maybe a bit quieter, but I haven’t driven them much yet.

21-inch Mission-Es and All-Season type. I say they are pretty quiet. I have Thermal Glass, Tint, and Windshield film. These tires might not be as good as Michelin's (not N-rated) per reports but they are developed for the Taycan.

Pirelli P Zero PZ4 Elect, NF1 do the job perfect for me. Not loud, comfy, last decent, good performance all around

My car got delivered with these. I find them nominally quiet on smooth pavement, but I am unusually bothered by their NVH resonnance on pavement with rougher patterns. I like the grip and feel at turn in though.
