our Taycan has built in a very common air suspension shared at least with Audi, which seem to be fully customizable for everyone with a VCDS, who likes to void the guaranty and prefers a different look over a loss of suspension travel, comfort etc.

You still need a suitable USB cable for your OBD port.

please don't get me wrong:
it would be very useful for all of us if someone with some coding expertise would honestly share some insights and be honest with is commercial interests.
Why not sharing know how and still offering a service or product if the information is beyond someone's willing to spend time or tools.
there are forums that accept this behavior others have to pay or at least speak with the admins.

Ok, let's continue in this thread without calling people names without reason.

Basically what I'm doing now is gathering info about reading cars.
I did that before but not with this powerful software called VCDS (VAGCOM etc).
That means watching hours of YouTube vids about VCDS/OBD Eleven (OBD Eleven can be a option if VCDS isn't able to read the control modules + slaves).
I'd rather spend my money on my own device and do all the things myself, rather than buy an app with limited functionality.
So thanks to rs38 for that heads-up. ??

What I also did is asking people.
A friend of mine is familiar with VCDS and we are going to look what is possible, that's a start.
I'll report back later of course.

So, what I wanted to do is gaining control over my own car by this scan tool software.
That means:
1. Lower the car 10mm (so I can remove the physical lowering links).
2. Switch on rear light bar as DRL (most VAG cars use the same modules).
3. Adding VIM (video in motion).
4. Passenger screen on, all the time.
5. Reset service interval.
6. See what more is in there. ?

PS OBD Eleven has the advantage that you can switch options on/off without longcoding.

I think your reactions as a "customer" are very aggressive and suspicious, therefore I think it IS possible.
(After all, if this works and you are not a "customer" but just the developer you have a good reason to be afraid someone else discovers that it can be done with just a €200 OBD adapter and free VCDS software, right?)

Oh and also because I know someone who did it already but that's just a small, unsignificant detail in this story.

PS That $74 is not 74 dollar but unit 74Chassis Control Module.

Thanks @Dee for looking into this! Based off your review, is this essentially the same thing as installing lowering links, but just software based? IE it just lowers every mode and the front axle lift by a set amount

@taycanlovers I appreciate you bringing this option up for consideration, but I agree with others that you are at the minimum affiliated with the company in some way, if not part of the company. Generally that type of posting is frowned upon in most forums - most require you to do what Signature Wheel did and sponsor the forums, or at the minimum disclose your affiliation so any biases are understood

I think lowering links might still be the answer to protect warranty....... unless individual mode will do the trick.

Yes.
I'm only in the beginning of this proces so don't expect results soon.
All I know now it can be done but as with all experiments it must be checked and confirmed.
That takes time.
