that sucks, have you reached out to your SA? That's along time being left in the dark
My SA knows even less than I do because he is not on this forum lol. But confirmed there is a stop sell on all Taycan.

Despite the fact that the dealership rejects to offer loaners car, the good note I got from my SA early today is, the dealership agrees to grant me discount due to all this shit show Porsche has put on. If I didn't have my car delivered this week, they will give me 1K discount; not deliver next week, another 1k. The longer they drag this, the more discount I will receive.

I will wait a few weeks to make couple of G. Literally, time is money now.

My SA just called and my 4SCT is now off the recall and I can finally reclaim my car tomorrow. The dealer has had the car for about 2 weeks, but it looks like Porsche has signed off. Hope others whose cars are in the penalty box like mine will be released soon.

How long of a delay are you hoping for at this point? :CWL:

Pretty sure I will see you in the June deliver thread.

Mine initially showed to deliver to the dealer on 4-24 when it landed at the US port. And the most recent "updated" date (the fourth update) is 5/26 and yet today (5/27) I am still looking at an empty garage.
You called it, sure thing my dreams for May delivery totally crushed.
TYD updated to 2 weeks out with delivery now June 15.
SA said they have no communication with the port point, so all we can do is wait.

mathematically, If I wait about 2.5 years, I can get the car for free.?

mine also updated to 6/14. Hopefully it is the only delay for you.

In conclusion, following this thread, I think nobody actually get their car delivered in May of 2023 at all.
See you guys in June or July delivery thread.
What a shit show.

I dont understand why so many got the June 14th date but I got June 22nd when my car was built before everyone's. Porsche is a freaking disaster. I think cancelling my order might save me long term headache dealing with this incompetence. Clearly these cars have some major problems they have not sorted out.

Honestly haha, sounds like something your kids say after screwing something bad up.

"sooooo.....smalll problem......I crashed the car...but on the plus side......"
I have been AFK on the forums for a few weeks now but here is what happened with my build. I had to visit the dealership and talk with a manager in person to get a definite answer as to why my build wasn't being delivered to the dealership even though the tracker showed delivered weeks ago.

"The truck transportation loaders shattered the driver side glass window" is what they told me was the reason behind why my build was delayed as they had to order new glass and have the car repaired.

I had to push them to give me this answer as I tried multiple times over the phone and via email. I doubt glass was the only damage to the vehicle as they weren't transparent from the get-go and refused to give me a loaner vehicle.

Long Story Short.... Who wants a damaged "new" car anyways...I got my deposit back (after initial refusal with this bs statement in attempt to scare me or something: "since you are canceling your build the deposit will have to go towards marketing of the vehicle"). HA!

I was able to find a GTS in the neighboring state and purchased it the next day :)

It's because you assumed that order of production has anything to do with order of deliveries. They are mostly unrelated. There are people on here who got their MY22 cars after some MY23 cars were delivered. Such is life.

Porsche definitely has issues. The problem is, that in this post COVID, labor shortage, quiet-quitting world, so does every other manufacturer. The only question is which issues you prefer to deal with. I hear Toyota continues to have a good record on reliability, though ordering is also not back to normal. Question is, would you rather be driving a rock solid Camry or a Taycan with all of its problems?

I'm kinda leaning towards keeping all my cash and paying off the house as I originally planned to do before I got infatuated with the Taycan ? I really don't need a car, but wanted to treat myself for once in my life. My SA says he'll hopefully have more info tomorrow... we shall see.

I was in the same boat(no pun intended) man, another thing to look out for is several taycan's are on a stop sale list because of a PCM software QA "campaign" (recall). The day after I purchased my GTS in another state I got a call from the dealer stating that I have to bring my vehicle to a dealer of my choice and get them to download PCM logs.

From what I have been researching(another thread on here lol) they hold your car for 3 business days as they have to send the logs to Germany for analysis and Porsche determines if the software is good or not.

My wife is having growing concerns about the quality of car we'd be buying. We've only ever had Hondas and Toyotas, and those have been rock solid. I'm getting nervous with all these recalls and stop sales... in my head I know it's probably not any different than any other car. But the sticker price makes it stand out more!

You know what they say, YOLO! ;)

Some things in life you have to at certain times. I've owned many cars, including Porsche, and I will still say the most fun I ever had in the car was when I was 17 and bought myself a used Toyota MR2. It is not to say that it was a better car than a 911 or Taycan which I've owned later in life, it's just that at 17 I had more fun with the MR2 than in my late 20's with the 911 for example. While I love driving the Taycan, there are definitely things I will never do with it was I would have when was a teenager or in my 20's. But, all that of course depends on what you enjoy in life. I enjoy driving, reverse engineering and improving things, Taycan fits these purposes like a glove for me, but I'm sure not for everyone.
