My first Porsche

Mamba Green was a standard color back then but they skipped it.
Now it's a PTS.
So yes, it's special.

As Mamba was a standard colour it's not really that rare, here in UK at least, so I'd be surprised anyone wanting blow whatever Porsche charge for PTS on a Taycan (£7535 according to the configurator) would pick Mamba - I'd want something super special and super rare: Speed Yellow? Amethyst? San Marino blue? Lava orange? ??

Really excited. Still not sure about the color but it's growing on me.

At 49 you can say it's my middle age crisis

Dealer getting the car ready so should be in my garage in a few days.

I loved my Range Rover LWB. Hopefully this one will be good to me too.

What would you do to this car as a new owner? I know it has PPF already.

This looks like the Mamba Green. Such a lovely color, especially in person. But I'm partial to green!

When I saw this was your first Porsche, I started thinking about my first one, which I wish I still had. It was a 1971 911 T Targa, 2.2L, with dual Weber carbs. The thing about that car was the weight to power ratio made it so, so fast, and the short stopping distance was unbelievable. I was pretty young when I had that car and had more than one experience with unplanned 360s, including one in a very tight space. Such a fun car. Nothing like that 5 speed transmission braking and downshifting through tight curves.

But the Taycan is a whole different beast, just as much fun to drive as the old 911, but in a different way (plus I'm older and not so crazy).
Looks like you're getting a great one. I'm sure you can't wait to get it on the street and out in the Pennsylvania hills.

Mamba Green is amazing when the sun is shining bright. On cloud days it's just okay. I'm glad I live in a place that is sunny most of the year.

Congrats!! Love the color, I really wanted that color but could not find one spec'ed the way I wanted it. I bought one in Jan and did a few upgrades. I put in the puddle lights, picked up the carbon fiber wheels (I had standard 20" wheels) and because I had a boring silver (already have a silver car) I went with a satin PPF.

Nice. I really like how some colors look with satin. Unique.
Mamba wasn't my first choice for sure but after seeing it it grew on me, especially when this car has all the options and some that I was looking for.

My first Porsche, 70 911T, was Ice Green. Very old pic, taken in late 70's, doesn't do the color justice.
Your Mamba is beautiful, enjoy it.

Still have it. It is strange but I had it for 3 years now. Added around 28k miles and had zero issues. I drove it from Philly to Colorado, California and back. That was some crazy trip to National Parks and it performed like a champ. I will definitely miss it especially in a LWB option. Still trying to figure out how to keep both

I’ve had virtually the same car for two years now (Mamba Green, 4S CT). Utterly love the car— despite having to reboot the PCM every week . My wife and I often comment about how we think the color is one of our absolutely favorite things about the car.

I have owned a 2020 4S in Mamba Green since 2020, and it continues to attract lots of complements about the distinctive color. We will see whether time will cause the Mamba Green Metallic to become out of fashion.
