It is one button press on my Taycan.

I now know that thanks to you and another poster above. Mind blown. I still think they're gimmicky, but at least now I know you don't have to dig through menus to activate.

Thanks for the tip.

I pretty much love all the bits I specified but I would be perfectly happy without the following if I was starting over.

1) Off-road design pack. Whilst it saved the paintwork from an almighty chip when a stone kicked up into part of it on the M5, I now find it a bit ungainly to the eye. It wasn’t available at the time but I’d likely go for an ST rather than the CT for much the same reason.

2) Privacy glass. I’m with @f1eng in that it just looks naff. I may end up going to a Macan Turbo (I know it’s an SUV, but needs and costs must) in the future and would go for the internal roll-up blinds instead.

3) Sport sound. It’s a personal view and I wouldn‘t tell anyone who loves it otherwise but for me it’s just a tad embarrassing and I almost reflexively turn it off when I use Sport Plus.

Other than that, all good!

Things I would not buy again:
  • Privacy glass
  • Porsche logo in color on my rims
Things I would buy and currently don't have:
  • Powder coated calipers
  • Rear seat heating
  • 4 zone climate control (for the display)
  • Full leather
  • Massage seats

RAS and heated steering wheel only regrets. Though the difference with RAS is not as big (imho) as some people here say but I have a super tight parking slot in my other home in Germany, so everything would help.
I must have been out of my mind not choosing the heated steering wheel, which is some of the cheapest options on the Taycan.

I wish I had gotten RWS. It wasn't something I could find new on the lot at the time, combined with other options, so we settled.
Also, not getting heated rear seats - my kids constantly remind me about that on cold days.

InnoDrive... don't use it. Just not that good. But it came with a car by mistake, I did not pay for it, so who cares.

When I ordered my car, I was in my late 40‘s and had already decided to retire. About a year later, I got bored and took another job….that is an hour away from my house. If I was ordering my car now, with my current commute, I likely would have selected Innodrive, despite its shortcomings.
You can always order InnoDrive over the air.

I find it just as nasty, i do not believe there is any differencr. I struggle a lot to understand how someone would put so much money in a car, but not go the extra 1-2% to have a decent interior. Reminds me of people who stay at posh hotels but eat instant noodles.

If you are buying a Cross Turismo, order the luggage net. Costs nothing but if you want to use the car as a removal van, it protects the driver against flying loads. Fail to order it and the car won't feature roof anchors which means you can never fit a net.

My used 4CT came with that and I ended up selling it to a forum member. I had thought it would be like the net on my A6 Allroad, which is essentially deployable and then retracts back into divider. Instead it’s a massive overengineered partition. For a driver who often travels with pets, sure. But not for intermittent spur-of-the moment use.
