Surround view yes.
park assist no.
I can park better than any computer that requires more space than me.

You have confused the park assist with remote park assist as I did.

Park assist only means it has parking sensors. When enquiring to Porsche parts I was adamant I did not have park assist on my car whereas they said it was definitely on my equipment list according to my VIN.

Park assist with surround view a definite yes from me. Remote park assist with 3d view a no as it seems to remove the kerb side view which make getting through width restrictions here in the UK infinitely easier.

I’ve said before that surround view is my favourite ‘functional’ option that I chose, I think it’s brilliant. The rear camera on its own not so much. There’s been a lot of discussion on here about the rear camera, some say it’s terrible, others say it’s fine. For me, it’s nowhere near as good as the one I had in my A-Class but as I have surround view I don’t use it on its own so it’s a moot point

I went for surround view to ”protect my investment” and avoid accidental dings on the car from bollards etc that you can’t easily see when manoeuvring. I’ve found it very helpful and would definitely choose it again.

Surround view. Mandatory. Not even a question. If you don't get it you will destroy your wheels parallel parking or driving on multi storey carpark ramps. It is a phat car.

Park assist is great. I use it every day. It's not a must have. I just like it parking automatically while I grab the steering wheel lock.

I have a very tight garage, and a difficult method of entry. The only way to drive into the garage is by reversing. The Taycan is pretty much the largest car you could physically fit in the garage. On my test drive of a Taycan, I took it back to my house to see how it would fit, and in doing so I used the rear-view camera. From my experience it worked perfectly fine despite the bad reviews it has.

Surround View is (in my opinion) one of those options that seems like you can’t live without it when you have it, but it’s really mostly fine without.

After having a BMW with it for a few years, I bought an Audi without it (only backup camera and parking sensors). I thought it was going to be a big deal, but it turned out fine. I adapted quickly.

Having said that, I have surround view on both of my current cars and it will be on my next one. If it was like $3k or something, I might skip it. But for $1200, it’s worth it to me. I use it more as a double check than as a primary tool.

So, I generally recommend it, but I wouldn’t stress over it if you don’t have it.

I had a loner with all kinds of options and the only one I regret not having on my own car is surround view. Just the front bumper cam alone is worth it. I regret not optioning that.

A lot depends on where you live and how you use your car.

If you live somehwere with big wide open roads and low population density it's one thing.

I live in the UK and do a lot of parking in tight parking spaces and kerbside parking in tight village streets.
I find I need all the help and assistance features I can, as visibility is poor in the Taycan.

Typical parking where I live....

100% must have if you regularly street park kerb side. Tilting passenger side mirror isn't enough on its own.

Invaluable for garage parking between pillars / door entry - side view makes this a breeze.
