because I strongly believe that in my case it is also something equal or similar, and as you can see, only the 12v battery gives hundreds of errors, and that does not mean that your car has models failing... or that it had an external cause!!!! You can't imagine how extremely grateful I am for having shared your current problem! ?? So the dealership is already on the second battery which is also broken... honestly I increasingly think that the best thing is to find someone who can take care of the car in conditions other than the dealership

These errors are more of the same that my car presents, tell me one thing, did the dealer give you the error diagnosis or did he just let you take some photos of the diagnostic computer screen???

I only ask as there looks to be something different there from your pic then stock and both the "Rain or light sensor faulty" and "Lane Change Assist not available" can be triggered if the dashcam wiring harness isn't installed properly or the wires it creates a T-junction from are damaged.

I don't think this is the root cause of your issues – especially seeing the exhaustive list from Porsche workshop – but when I saw your set of PCM errors in your first posting – it was certainly my initial thought.

no there is nothing wrongly installed or out of place here just the plastic that is under the rain/light sensor is not in the right place, and why... because my windshield wipers do not work and I changed the rain sensor and the gel between the glass and the rain sensor and when I took the photo the plastics were not in place, in fact even with the change of the rain sensor the wipers still do not work, only the wiper blades because the rear brush works and the rear water squeaks too, I have already checked that the windshield wiper motor is working, probably the connection to the motor or the connection of the wiring to the rain sensor has a problem (it has to be seen if there is power) it also includes the wiring of the camera next to the rain sensor! But I noticed that in the error report that you sent to me have more a less the same errors report…!

the 12 v battery in my case could be one of the causes of the problem, I think that in addition to the battery I may have to check the wiring that goes over the roof of the car and goes to the rain sensor, the camera,... but or else If it is not the 12 v battery, I point to the high voltage converter next to the 12 v battery which will have to be replaced, I will have to do a new diagnosis with the piwi to rule out faults and to analyze where the problem could be, in any case. As you can see in these cars, it is not necessary to have a very big problem for errors and errors to appear during the diagnosis….!Once again Im very grateful for your comments??

I have a piwis. It’s useful for error codes but you can also change the coding on the car for all sorts of things. You need a hardware device and software, and an old laptop. You can put one together for about $1000 US

no, the car was being used regularly. I noticed a bunch of errors, I don’t remember the specific errors, then connected the car to piwis and saw the chaos.

I read the codes and it looked like hell.

it’s under warranty so I took it to Porsche. They thought the gateway had failed and were ordering a new one from Germany. Maybe the Germans tipped them to the battery. They ordered a replacement but it was also bad. They ordered another replacement and the problem was solved

Without the piwi i can't do absolutely anything in these cars , I had a BMW 5 series diesel and I continue to use the ista+ on the car which is actually very useful and saves excessive expenses at the dealership on the car!

for the software, everyone on rennlist has bought it from Mars, he's on telegram or also on rennlist, there is a big thread about coding 992's https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1206834-coding-992-a.html. Mars's profile is https://rennlist.com/forums/members/258847-rnlst_log.html and @mhx_log on telegram. he sells imaged copies of the piwis software that can be restored onto a laptop (i got a used T480 thinkpad, the screen resolution is important for PIWIS). Mars is a big help and walked me through enabling Matrix LEDs on my US spec taycan.

You can do other stuff with it too, like enable carplay/android keyboards while in motion, or turn on the rear bar light for DRLs, adjust PASM right height to drop the car, disable the tailgate beeping, all kinds of stuff. a lot of that info is on this forum

bigkraig also provides good information, however the kit that MARS sells will not remove component protection, this will be necessary if you need to change parts like your onboard battery charger.

You need to be cautious about the OBD device (VCI) you buy since that is the key tool along with PIWIS for removing component protection, this will generally be sold as a package PIWIS software + VCI.

If the independent guy you plan to see has a legitimate PIWIS, that will solve any component protection requirements you need solved and would allow you to purchase PIWIS with any VCI.

Thanks again Shug, I was looking at the link you sent me at the beginning about the hardwear and the softwea, that is, this one also removes the protection from the component, in case you have to change any part......And that..., they send the connections to the car and the piwi comes in a drive! The correct VCI is only one part of what is required to remove component protection, the other part is to have a genuine PIWIS subscription. You need both.

Suggest you work out how to solve component protection removal first since someone working remotely may not want to use your software in case that bricks his access to PIWIS.

For info, you can change your 12V battery, headlights and other low level items without requiring component protection removal

I can see you highlighted engineering mode in your last post, this is not component protection.
