Correction to my last but 1 post.

The VAS 6154 with version 1.6.6 auto detects the vehicle with ignition on.

The guy selling the latest version software that you sourced said that it does not connect, so this may be something to with his setup, or the latest software.

Only way to confirm will be to set this up with a known VCI but on the later software version.

Not something to focus on at the moment, but worth noting.

Not all VCI's support DoIP protocol, only CAN. Most ECUs will speak both CAN and DoIP. Most of the settings are in both, but not all. I am also not certain why, but I couldn't get full engineering recoding to work without DoIP capable VCI, so some ECUs may be using some protection scheme which requires DoIP, or perhaps my recoding required settings only available via DoIP.

The VAS6154 I linked to above is a cut down VCI version with limited features and will only work with the firmware version 1.6.6. I do not understand the technicalities of how they work, just that they do.

The PIWIS software that is circulating has somehow been enabled to work with this cut down VCI , I assume that appropriate drivers have been added to facilitate this.

The official PIWIS system that works online has a limited range of VCI's that can be selected.

The T6PT3G VCI discussed earlier is by all accounts much more robust and much faster, it also works with other VAG software, so would be a good choice for someone regularly working on these cars.

After the download everything , I just don't know how I'm going to install all of this, I imagine you have to have a virtualbox VM, etc., etc., but honestly I don't even know where to start, so if anyone could give me some tips I would be extremely grateful!Laptop lenovo i5 ideapad nvidia geforce 8 g ram, I think that's enough...!!!

There are two options for the PIWIS install Carlos

1 - Inside VMware Workstation Pro - useful where you have a modern laptop that you can assign spare hard drive space to.

2 - Windows 10 laptop that you are no longer using, will now be turned over to PIWIS.

I was now talking to the Porche dealership in Belgium where the owner previously bought the car, to see if they could tell me anything more about the service the car had at the dealership previously, they were once again fantastic, so They informed me that the car had never changed anything regarding brakes, not even brake shoes until now, it has to be seen, and that the high voltage cc/cc converter had been changed on April 24, 2024 and the 12 V battery It was also changed in September 2024 but this does not invalidate the fact that the battery is not working at 100%......he also advised me when he finished fixing the errors in the car. Pick it up and if possible, since I'm close to Germany, go there and do the recalls that the car has pending! Because it is clear that the dealership in Poland did not act as it should have done!

Shug ,I leave here the photos of the location of the fuses on the back right! I just checked the fuses and nothing was blown, all the fuses beeped on the voltmeter continuously, that is, all the fuses are in good condition, I didn't find a blown fuse in the car, places checked (driver's place on the feet, on the driver's place on the dashboard, passenger seat on the feet, passenger seat on the dashboard, black fuse box on the hood of the car, right rear trunk)!If there is another fuse box other than these places, please let us know…!
