Yes, I reported this to Tesla.

As I mentioned above (but maybe I'm just too dense to figure this out) these local Tesla CCS-capable stations aren't showing up on the Porsche app even though I've optioned to see stations that require adapters.

I'll keep my eye open for other Taycan's charging at our Tesla stations.
I wonder if Tesla is being selective about certain superchargers based on parking and charger port placement?

I’ve used several Tesla chargers. 100% success. If you have an Macan EV - you have to turn on “compatibility mode” in the PCM!

I tried 2 stations near me that are adaptor compatible and both worked as expected. I was the only one charging so was able to dick park across multiple slots.

Does a route planned in the app and transmitted to the PCM result in preconditioning prior to arrival at the Supercharger stop (even if the PCM is not yet doing route planning that includes comparable SC's)?

A good question! I’ll find out.

Confirmed. The battery definitely preconditioned.

Plug and Charge did not work, which was not a surprise to me. That would require linking the Porsche account to the Tesla account in some way.

It should so long as the stops added are marked as charging stops. Generally with the app, only specific waypoints are transmitted to the PCM along with the destination and the PCM then re-calculates the charging strategy independent of the app.

Often – depending on the area – it will make the same decisions as the app – but is not guaranteed to.

When I was road trip planning and liked the route the charging stops the app had chosen, I would add them manually in the app (making sure to select the charging stop filter first when searching for the stops) - that way I knew the exact route and stops would be sent to the PCM.

There is a warning dialog that pops up in the app warning you of this but it would be good if there was a way of forcing the exact app route and charging plan over to the PCM in a guaranteed way.

But that goes against Porsche's determination that drivers shouldn't be worrying or selecting specific stops – they just put in their destination and the PCM picks the best stops and re-calculates them on route. Sounds great in the app design sessions in the office – but meanwhile in the real world – its a pain.

PCM can’t even figure out the optimal route between Amherst MA and Twin Mtn NH. Driving south, will often route me through Northampton, adding distance, time, and sometimes even the need to stop for a charge. Driving north, among three routes with identical times, will choose the route with the longest distance and highest speed, requiring a charging stop whereas a route with shortest distance and slower speed will not require charging. Given that the PCM can’t even optimize as well as using a paper map, I’m skeptical of its ability to plan charging stops.

my Porsche app isn't showing any Tesla Supercharger stations, even those I've charged at with the Tesla app (both Magic Docks and non-Magic-Docks-with-adapter)... Do I have to update the app formally through the Apple store for my iPhone?

Yes check the App Store. Search for the My Porsche app and see if there is an update button.
