Every few months my car doesn’t connect to Porsche Connect. Anyone else not connecting, mine has been offline for a week now? First year of ownership I had to have the dealer do a hard rest, which had them keep the car for an entire week. Since that date I’ve had this intermittent off line for week or two. I hope I don’t need the hard rest again as the $300 year subscription really doesn’t make sense if it works every now again.

Yes, I have the same problem every now and then where it says “ privacy mode activated” when I know it’s not. Last week my app wouldn’t work for about three days so I went to the car’s PCM and activated and deactivated the various privacy modes a couple times and then left them deactivated. That solved the issue.

Yes have the same problem but not as often. For me it happened last year and lasted for a month. Randomly fixed itself dealer tried and couldn’t get it connected before. Really love paying for a subscription when it doesn’t work and the car is in the shop.

Mine just did this last month and started working again after a week of lost connectivity. No rhyme or reason.

Mine went down for around 3 months (LTE in the car was missing). 3 months because that's the earliest I could get an appointment in the dealership.

I did however complain to Porsche smart mobility (porsche customer services) and they credited me with goodwill payment (service voucher) equal 1 year's connect fee. The email address i used was a uk one, but maybe you have similar - in the my porsche app - Account > Contact and Help > Customer Support. Worth a go.

Same issue with my J1.2 not even 6 months old. First time the dealer fixed it via “backend reset” working with Porsche engineers in Germany. It worked again for ~1 month, and now it’s been a month again without connectivity. Dealer tried to use the same trick again but with no luck so now they say they are going to replace “the unit” and they’re waiting for the parts (should take a month). Quite frustrating.

Weird part for me is that LTE connectivity is “ok” meaning I have signal, like 4 bars, but no actual connectivity.

I have had a similar issue with connectivity.
- it worked fine for first 3 months, then stopped.
- after one and a half month it came back magically for half a day
- one month later during the WRV3 update it came back online, for 2 full hours
- another month later it started again and worked 5 days
- then after a brief half day of stopping it's now working again for 4 days.

I have contacted Porsche connected services directly and they planned a dealer intervention in 14 days even when the connection is now apparantly working.

It's a shame because starting the airco with the app remotely is a killer application.

I am not sure why only select cars have issues at certain times. If it’s an IT issue wouldn’t all cars have the same problem at the same time, I guess that would be logical!

I think they all occasionally go down for a bit. Usually associated with a crashed Porsche server at the weekend. Whether that leads to some cars not reconnecting once fixed, who knows.
But it’s crap and my guess is it must be hardware, but I’ve no idea basically! Mine has had a couple of 3 or 4 weeks on the blink, but aside from the last instance they mystically sorted themselves out.

Crap indeed, on to my second week that it's not working!! I've booked a dealer visit in a month, lets see if it gets fixed before it has to go in?~!

I did Thank you, I also tried the fuse removal. That didn’t work either, sadly!

I tried again, this time removed both A11 and C1. Left for 30 minutes. Sure enough it worked!!! Thank you all, saved me a trip to the dealer. Cheers!!

Already 1,5 months without a connection. Think I’ll try this, before going to the dealership.
Is it easy to do, where can I access the fuses?
