Hi all, about to take the delivery next week.wondering anyone has been offered discount or price reduction, or it is normal to pay the full amount according to the spec.guess it is not much bargaining advantage for us due to the supply/demand from Porsche.

over the last year or two paying MSRP or even more was the new norm however these days it seems that there is a bit more inventory around and like in the "old" days getting 4 0r 5% off of MSRP wasn't unusual.

Given there is a TON of used car inventory, and getting reamed on trade in values, can't hurt to ask and just be like "ehhh, maybe not worth it to me, and i'll pass"

OH, Forget to mention that i am purchasing a new build car, do understand it is more normal to get discount on used cars.

Usually this kind of negotiation happens before signing to order the car but I guess it's still fair before signing the final check.

I got 5.45% off MRSP (base + options) back in December 2022 when I placed the order. Didn't think it was worth to milk them more on delivery.

Porsche GB is a different beast to the US. I'd guess that the only way to get a new car without ordering it as a build is if the customer who ordered it backs out, in which case discount may be possible. Once your build is locked the only option is pay in full or pull out and lose your deposit.
Gifts of a few hundred £s price seems to be the norm from dealers.
We are in unusual times but, despite used values dropping, new prices seem to be on a relentless march upwards.

Picking mine up on Thursday. No discounts other than a couple hundred quid off Gtechniq treatment. Will wait and see if there are any freebies on the day

25 years ago when I was a Formula 1 technical director they told me the VIP treatment was to get an immediate allocation but no discounts.

I got 2% (and a Porsche baseball cap) but my order was put in about 18 months ago. Doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe at least you'll get the cap.

I've always wondered to what extent a customer gets flagged for getting a large discount (or not) in terms of after sales / care. Nowadays customer service is often not so great. So far I don't really have the feeling that a more expensive car provides a better customer experience either.

you can get up to 6.5% overall (maybe someone got higher, but I am not aware)
plus you can get much more on dealer installed options (i.e. like audio upgrade, etc)

yeah some dealers do like in my case, because Bose was not available and I insisted on better audio than standard or super expensive burmester
