Seems like a popular thread!! For what it's worth, I've never owned a private plate. I am not a fan of the vanity (my name plate) but have been tempted ...

My (german) neighbour in London had one which made me chuckle every time I saw it - it spelled KAISER :)

When it came to the Taycan GTS, I considered various options including my initials followed by GTS, but then, the next owner may not have the same initials and I may not own a GTS next time. That said, absolutely love the GTS and the spec I got it down to.

In the end, I went for PO23GTS and I really like it and get a kick out of seeing it each time (sad I know!). It's personal, an accurate lable for the car, and resellable to anyone with a Porsche GTS. Quite similar to SteveGTS above (TA23GTS).

So, I guess my thoughts are; generally lower value personal plates are not worth it. But it is personal preference in the end and about how much do you want to stand out or make others laugh.
PO23GTS was another one that wanted before I decided to buy a registration! I had to wait because I wasn’t sure of an allocation until March.

Would be good to have a meet up for the ??23GTS club ?

I have "1" followed by my three initials and have held it for 23 years. It has been a very good investment as the value has increased dramatically over the years whilst the value of the cars it has been on has always plummeted!

They weren’t private plates just standard issue. My old Dad had 11DBP straight from Ford Dealer in 1961 followed by 201 NPX and 441 GBP- it’s just how they were issued!! Being pedantic we all have unique personal plates on the front and rear of our cars generally of an unpretentious nature.
? I was joking!
