Puddle lights. on battery

Hi everyone, I'm looking to add door lights to my Taycan, which doesn't have the ambient lighting option. It seems the wiring isn't powered, so I’ve been looking into some of the new battery-powered light units. Has anyone here tried those? They could be a nice workaround without needing a full electrical install.

I have the wired version and very happy with them. Much better than OEM.
I am sure the self-powered version will be just as nice and last awhile on batteries.

They say between 45 and 60 days, so I'm afraid I'll have to recharge too often.
...I'm also waiting to see if Porsche can connect the wires in the door, you never know...

It always surprised me how customised the wiring harness is on Porsche's depending on the options selected on the car. The complexity of it is mind boggling. I would have thought it would be easier to fit the same harness to each car regardless.

Even in the old days of 993, there were different size of connector for revcounter depending on with/without OBC.
