Roof Rack for sedan?

Does anyone have experience with roof racks for Taycan Sedan? I’m considering putting crossbars on my car using the fixed points. Cargo would be surfboard or kayak. Any advice on brands? OEM vs Thule vs cheaper brand such as PAW, OMAC? Use would be intermittent.

I purchased the Porsche Crossbars for my 2020 4S, as they were the only ones that fit at that time. I've used my previously owned Thule bike racks that work great. Porsche utilizes a Thule system, so the Thule components work fine with the Porsche crossbars.

Thule system works very well and approx 30-40% cheaper without a Porsche sticker.

I bought them for my 2020 4S in 2020 and use them regularly for a variety of things

i learned the t-bolts for the rail sometimes vary in size depending on how old the Thule accessory is. Just FYI, this would mean t-bolts may be too large for the rail, or slightly too small and therefore creaks/rattles when there's stress on the unit.

that said, I do the same thing. I modified and shaved my T-bolts from my prior BMW accessory down to size for one bike rack and I am also using a Thule system from 10 years ago for a different bike rack. Still not 100% perfect for me, but good enough until I installed the rear mount on my wagon.

My dealer bought me a Seasucker roof rack for my 4S CT which didn't have the roof bars factory installed. They've used this rack on various Porsche's. I don't have the rack yet so can't comment on it, but they were popular with the Tesla's and their glass roof.

Follow up on rack for sedan. Being pressed for time on delivery I decided to purchase on Amazon. Having being disappointed with quality of other cheap brands a decided to try PAW. They are designed for use with fixed points. Bars are aluminum and the bases are a decent quality plastic with locks. $200 delivered. Installation pretty easy. Quality is good, way better than 2 other cheap brands that I have tried for other cars. My use case is occasional max 3 times annually. If I was using it regularly than a Thule or a Porsche would be the way to go. For any light to medium duty users this is definitely adequate and a few hundred bucks cheaper

I have had the Porsche roof rack on my 2020 4S on a regular basis since purchased in 2020, and I love how easy it is to install.
...and the quality/detailing is as good as I have found.
In my opinion it's worth the premium.
