Setting Options Missing

Hi

I recently Took the delivery of a 71 plate Porsche Taycan 4S.

I am trying to activate “automatic unlocking when approaching vehicle” but cannot find it. I have looked under vehicle locking system. But as suggested by the Porsche Good To Know App, it is not there.

I have also noticed that the E sounds are missing.

Can anyone help?

I assume those menu items depend on having the proper options on your car. Do you have the options that support the menu items? I don’t even have my car yet so I could be totally off base here.

I would of thought they were standard options. Having come from a Tesla Model3 to Porsche Taycan

- the Porsche is so far behind in terms of user friendly and features but superior in the drive.

It’s called comfort access. Settings -> Vehicle -> Locking Systems -> Comfort Access

This is not the way Porsche operates at all.

I just work on the fact that nearly everything is an option on Porsche.

Yes, comfort access is standard.

In Belgium it isn’t. Don’t know in the UK.

Both of those options are paid options. If you didn’t tick the box unfortunately you have got the hardware to havent the options to my knowledge.

Did you specify Comfort Opening and Sport Sound as part of your build?

If not then neither of these features will be available to you.

Not standard for the UK market.

Somewhat related: I got a document from the SA for my Taycan's VIN. It is a six-page list of vehicle components, hardware, software, and features, including details such as battery and motor serial numbers. I have found it useful in trying to figure out what features/functions are actually installed on my car.

For example, comfort access is listed. The owner's manual has a long list of "assistance" functions. It's not clear to me which of these are standard and which are included in options I selected, or omitted. This document has helped me figure it out.

It is described as PCSS Vehicle Information, identification via VIN. I'm in US.

The config pdf for your build that was created when you specked the car shows what is standard on your model as well as what options you have.

Most people in the UK don't want comfort access nowadays.
My dealer says they barely get any cars specced with it any more.
