Sick.. scratch

I just came back from a visit to the zoo with my girlfriend and daughter to find my 6 months old Taycan 4s with a “nice” wavy scratch from the front all the way to the spoiler… over 4 meters of deeply key-scratched misery. It was done with so much force, that the paint is actually forming sharp edges standing off from the body….

A bit of $$$ will fix this, and some time will help u feel better. But whatever the person who did this is dealing with will probably never be fixed. U have a great car, wonderful gf and daughter…..don’t let the worst of humanity ruin it for you

So sorry to see that. I can sympathise as something similar happened to me on holiday in France over the summer.

Check the car over very carefully for other damage. On my car, there were dents near the front door openers where the vandal had presumable tried to open the doors, and an isolated deep scratch on the roof on the opposite side of the car. These cars are so curvy that it’s sometimes hard to spot some of these problems. I only really understood the total damage when I washed the car.

Neidgesellschaft is real in Germany.
It's one of the things I like about living in the US. There's more of an assumption that maybe you earned it.

Yes… just simple envy, but at a sick level . Partially condoned from politicians in the scope of climate.

Oh man so sorry to see that. Someone door dinged my car so hard that it left his black paint on my car, but relatively nothing compared to your loss. Some people just don’t respect other people’s joy and pride.

My previous 911 was also scratched by someone (in Calfornia!) but not as badly as these examples! It's unfortunate that average folks don't appreciate that by spending "big bucks" (ie "mucho Euros") on things like EVs (leaving aside the contribution to a carbon-free future) is money that goes into the pockets of workers at all levels as well as, of course, investors and executives.

dude, i am not wealthy!? I work my ass off to get to "afford" the car. Well, a little spam here. Does anyone know the "Watch your Surrounding Area" warning with Beeping sound? I got that while driving off the libruary with Low height. I wonder if it's something to do with scraping the front but didnt find any damage.

I agree completely, but before fixing it yourself, check with your insurance company. In the US we have an insurance "rider" called Comprehensive that covers things like rocks that hit the windshield, vandalism, etc. - stuff that isn't a collision/accident.

It can and will be repaired. Don't let the assholes get you down - that was their goal in the first place - fuck'em.

Same happened to me two days ago. Walking at a distance of 50m, i could immediately see the scrath on my right front fender. I used some scratch remover from turtle wax and tipped it with oem chalk paint touch up pen and polishing with a polish machine.. At a distance, its ok, but i will repaint soon.

I feel terrible for you! This has never happened to me but many have hit me and took off in the parking lot. I have new personalized plates for my Taycan that read 'SNOBBISH" and I am afraid to put them on. When I ask my colleagues - who drive crap cars they say no - don't do that - it will draw negative attention to your car and someone may scratch it. When I speak to people who have nice cars - they laugh and say that is a wonderful plate! Do you see how people can be extremely jealous? I am not sure why someone would do that to you. Did you cut anyone off? Middle finger? Take a spot etc prior to the zoo? I would be in tears if this happened. hopefully you can get someone to look at it and give it a good buff? I am terribly sorry. Provide us with an update when you get it fixed. Hang tight!
