I haven’t been able to log into Spotify for many months. Same error every time. Not the biggest deal since I have BT and CarPlay options, but wondering if anyone else has this issue or knows a fix.

Send an email to [email protected].

To pre-empt some questions, send them:
  • A photo of the Spotify error that pops up
  • A photo of the Private Mode setting (go to Settings > Privacy and Porsche Connect > Private Mode)
  • A photo of the LTE icon on the right hand side of the screen

Also check if other online services such as News or Weather are working (I suspect not). Let them know.

Even if you don't use Apple Music, try and see if you get the same QR code error.

They fixed mine by asking Verizon to rebuild the built in data connection.

PS For future lurkers, do this only after 48-72 hours of not working. Sometimes Porsche is down and things come back on their own.

Do you still have an active connect account? I didn’t renew mine and only get Spotify thru Apple CarPlay now.

Yes, the LTE icon on the right upper side of the PCM must show. You might have no connectivity. Checking if Online Radio and Apple Music also dont connect is important.
There was recently an issue with LTE connectivity in the Bay Area, CA, see

I called Porsche Customer Support, but they were unable to help because LTE icon was missing, they said. Next, suggested that visit the dealer, which i did but only via texting, and then, after few days, the LTE came back up.

I had the same situation. No issues connecting to the car via the app, but still same issue as you.

I practically gave up using Spotify 8000km ago..
Initially preferred the PCM App over CarPlay as I thought the streaming quality was better.

But this issue really gave me the rest. The PCM Spotify app was super slow in buffering songs. Sometimes did not finish buffering till I reached my destination.

really the only feature I practically gave up in my Taycan. Loving the rest!

The LTE signal strength showed up once I connected my phone.

I’ll reach out to Porsche and update the thread with what they say.

I just prefer PCM over Apple Car play. I don’t like how the navigation doesn’t show up in the odometer display or the HUD. Also I switch between Spotify and XM and it’s a little clunky when car play or BT is being used instead of the native Spotify app. This used to work just fine!
