Thanks for this post - they had it in stock in the UK so placed an order. Hopefully will work just like yours didHere is an inexpensive solution. I have a 2021 Taycan with the storage package, but it should equally work with either build. This is a high speed charging tray (automatically set to the maximum charging speed of your phone up to 15W max) you can purchase on Amazon:

It fits about as perfectly as it would if it were custom built for the space. It also comes with a USB-C connection that will fit into one of the two available in your center console. The included flat USB wire will fit perfectly in the channel between the panels where the top and sides of your center console connect together. Be sure to carefully use an appropriately sized trim tool to push the flat wire into that seam, but if done properly it will almost disappear to the eye making the entire install look OEM. The location is slightly awkward to place and remove your phone from it, but no more than any other use in that area. It comes with double sided tape if you prefer to semi-permanently keep the tray in place. I tried it both ways and using the tape is preferable as it keeps it aligned when placing and removing your phone. The tray itself is a rubberized with a textured pattern that will keep your phone in place when driving and has edges on either side (which is why I would expect it to work both with and without the storage package).
See the photos after the install. I confirmed it fits easily with an iphone 13 mini and an iphone 15 pro. This particular model takes a few seconds to determine the charging capacity of your phone before it starts charging so there is a slight delay before you will see the power charging indicator confirm it is charging in Carplay.
