I'm a fairly tall guy - around 6ft 3in - and on long journeys of over an hour or two I find I get quite uncomfortable in the seat.

This didn't happen in my old VW Golf and my partner who is 5ft 5in has no issues on the same journeys in the passanger seat.

Any other tall drivers find this? How do you set your seat up for max comfort?

I am 6'5" and 260lbs and I haven't been as comfortable in any other of my current and previous cars. S classes - A8s - 7Series- Yukons....I believe it's because of the 'flat leg' position that for some reason does not bother my back the way other cars with a more 'seated' positions do....

6’7’’ here, no issues when I can have the 8-way comfort seat the way I want to. Almost as far as possible from the wheel as possible, lowered to the max except front of the seat raised which I believe is my secret sauce for long distance comfort.

If someone sits behind me it wont work and 2 hours is the max I can do with the seat drawn front.

Another 6ft 5” without problems…of course ingress/exgress is tougher than when having SUV, but…it’s just a second or two of pain :whew:

Similar-6’3” not much room for rear passenger behind but i can stretch legs out when cruise control active, i find the adjustable side bolsters (18way seats)- back and legs a bit too firm and narrow and I’m average build.

I guess not so tall by stats in this form but I am 6' 1'' and I fail to comprehend why Porsche cannot make an extendable sun visor. This has driven me nuts in my Panameras for the last 12 years and same thing with Taycan. My commute to work every day puts the sun directly in the gap between the end of my visor and the door frame when it is rotated to my left side. I have been forced to buy these cheap visor extenders to block the sun that is usually shining straight into my eyes through the side window. I cannot imagine why Porsche cannot make the visors extendable like almost every other car produced these days. Post a link here if anyone has found a good solution other than the strap on extenders I have found on Amazon!

All modern Porsche’s have a long slanted windscreen! Because of this I always put medium window tint on the front windscreen from the top to just the bottom of the rear view mirror. This virtually eliminates the low sun blinding. Plus the high sun that beats down on your legs is eliminated. I’m 6’2 inches tall and there is no restriction to forward vision. If you’re taller you might want a strip a little shorter. This simple strip makes a world of difference here in Arizona!

No problem here (6 ft 2"), and I am critical with seats.
I have the 18-way sports seat and really took some time in the driveway to adjust it properly.
All good for me.

I have >40,000 miles on my Taycan including four straight-through trips to Florida last year at 850 miles each way. I’m 6’0” with the 14-way seats and find them very comfortable. Would be interesting to find out if it’s the torso or leg length that is not accommodated well for taller drivers in the 14-way seats.

Could you summarise your settings please? E.g. low, far back and tilted as the other member described.

6' 3" and had 18 way seats. I found the lumbar support to be too low and as a result didn't find the seats to be particularly comfortable. I am going to check out the 14 way seats next go although I have no idea if they are any better for me.

I’m 6’4”, 16st. Just done a 5 hour trip (Taycan is 2 weeks old and this is only my third trip). Found it perfectly comfortable. I have 18-way seats (GTS interior).
I have seat rear at its lowest setting to the floor, but not particularly far back (have children to fit in), but the front raised a fair bit - to create more of a bucket seat with raised knees. Steering wheel mid-way out so I have a comfortable bend in my arms. Bolsters adjusted to give my ass as much room as it needs :) and lumber support so I can just feel it in my lower back.

No problems here once the seats are adjusted (which took some doing, especially the seat angle and lumbar). I hydrate while driving here in the desert southwest USA, so on long trips I stop about every two hours to make my bladder gladder.

I'm 6' 3" (190 cm) and 175 lb (79 kg / 12.5 stones). My 2022 RWD has 18-way ventilated Olea leather non-massaging seats.
-- The driver's seat base is all the way back for max legroom. Only short people can sit behind me. (That being said, I wish the sun visor could extend when the sun shines on the driver's side door!)
-- The seat angle is such that the front of the seat is raised, and the seat height is high, to distribute more weight to my thighs (same as @Dilpo 's comment). I tried fully extending the seat cushion length, but have just gotten used to it not being extended.
-- The steering wheel is telescoped to be as close to me as possible. I wish it could extend out a couple of more inches (5 cm).
-- The steering wheel tilt is raised so my knee doesn't hit it when I brake.
-- The backrest angle is mostly upright (with good lumbar support). Reclining in the driver's seat is uncomfortable for me.
-- The headrest is all the way back (towards the back seat)
-- I think I'd be uncomfortable with 14-way seats as I'm slim and need the seat cushion and backrest bolsters engaged to keep me from sliding around.

And, no matter what, it's not easy getting in and out with legs that have a 35" (89 cm) inseam. I hope this all helps...
