Yep, it becomes all about profit now. Lose 5% of customers but reduce the production cost by 15% probably results in a healthy net profit. Honestly, how many Taycan customers do you think they will lose for not having Mamba Green? Most customers will just pick a different color but still order.

Yes, the Porsche range of colours is approaching being as boring and limited as Mercedes.
Looking at the cars for sale in the UK it is clear most are one of the monochrome shades with a black interior.
Predictable, boring but profitable to stick to mainly these.

If there hadn't been a green option I would probably have bought a Taycan, Cherry or Frozen Berry, but if the only interior was black, like sporty Mercs these days, I wouldn't have.

Perhaps after reading about fly-and-drives like yours (or mine), Porsche decided to encourage fly-and-drives by upping the PEC price. There is no better way to get to know your Taycan.

Probably too many customers. When I ordered my Taycan, I was told my delivery would be 3 months delayed if I chose PEC delivery, and that was when Porsche was producing way less cars.

are people still receiving car's with manual adjustment?!

What magical unicorn poop of a part are Porsche using for the steering column that they're struggling to source.. you'd surely think these were much more common than a HV heater!

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the standard options for certain models would also now be gone.

When I copied my build code into the new MY, it looks like the Ioniser is not available at all. Small thing in the grand scheme and it might just be part of the standard AC now

Mine came with an electric column adjuster in December 2022 but probably mainly because I placed the order in July 2021.
Mind you I only adjust the steering very infrequently, probably never again after the first month, so I’d have been content to save its weight!

Just for fun, I loaded my Turbo CT build, $7,700 increase total increase. The entire increase is from base price ($7500) and delivery, processing and handling fee($200). All the options show no changes at all in price, but they are all still there (including the dashcam pre-wire for $130, which is apparently now gone in the UK).

The funny thing is that model year is not shown anywhere anymore. Also, I cannot make a Porsche code for the build:

I wonder if this means they have not finished entering MY24 specs and prices into the configurator and what we're seeing is some interim version for which you will never get an allocation. Or maybe this is just he MY23 increase, MY24 is still coming?

MY24 - too early. Normally updates June/July timeframe for MY change (approx)

Could you get Mamba Green through PTS+? So it might be there, just went up in price a lot.

I actually checked the PTS on the configurator to see if it was there. It isn’t right now, maybe it will get added back PTS at some point. It is a beautiful color, but I would have went with either Gentian or Ice Grey if not available. Betting it will be a launch color on the Macan EV so they got rid of the option on the Taycan for now (I believe they dumped Mamba on the Panamera right when the Taycan came out).

My CT 4S came with the manual adjustment. I even have the 18 Way seats and extended leather, where it is supposed to be standard. I was annoyed, but I have the seat and steering wheel dialed in, so it will only be an issue if my husband takes my car as he will need to move the wheel.

I must be odd, because I actually adjust my wheel all the time and like the electric option. I like it a bit lower for long highway driving, or if i wearing work boots, i adjust my seat back a bit so the pedel is not so close and adjust the wheel according to new seat adjustment. ?

I was in the dealer literally signing the paperwork on my deposit as the price increases hit - admittedly I'm a long way off having anything locked in - but refreshing my configurator as I walked out of the dealership and seeing the price jump was somewhat annoying!

Plus PCCB option has disappeared too. Sales rep says options do occasionally disappear and come back a month later (apparently a way to manage stock and supply levels). I am hoping the option is back before my built slot is allocated!

When I was picking up my Taycan yesterday there was a Cayenne on the floor and I recognized it as Mahogany and told him it was on my short list of colors. I think it’s gorgeous. He said, “Well, can’t get it anymore.” I hadn’t yet realized it was gone too. I mentioned I saw Mamba Green was gone and he said it was actually discontinued for a while, so you couldn’t order it even if it was on the configurator. Bummer. Cherry on the other hand… the only color I thought didn’t work on the Taycan.
