Indeed it was!North Bend?
There are two Supercharger sites near Cabazon - are you certain you weren't at the one that DOESN'T support NACS?Wife wanted to go to the outlets at Cabazon, CA so I took the chance to try the new official Porsche adapter with a Tesla supercharger. superchargers there are Tesla only so I went to the adjacent casino and used their superchargers.
On the Tesla app it showed the superchargers would work for the Taycan (250kw max V3 superchargers), however I tried 3 stalls and non of them worked. Both the car and the Tesla app constantly told me there’s an unknown error after a long handshake while the Mercedes EQS next to me was getting charge no problem with an adapter.
Eventually I gave up and went to an EV go charger, till now I still don’t understand why this happened.![]()

What isn’t worth it?Not worth it imo unless you use Supercharger regularly.
this is great news - any sort of adapter should work - these devices are mostly passive "pass-though" devices - they are a physical adaption/adapter NOT a "converter"…the charging protocol in use when charging at a Supercharger is still fundamentally CCS…Received Porsche NACS adapter last week and tried it yesterday, Sunday. (I had previously added my car to the Tesla app.) One of the Tesla supercharger sites near me has one charger that allows Teslas to pull in head first, so-to-speak, so I went for that (had to wait a few minutes for a model Y to leave...) and backed in...see pic. Successfully charged to 60% SoC with a steady 136kW.
As I was driving home I went by another Tesla site and noticed a Ford Lightning beginning to charge with an extension cable. In talking to the owner a bit, it turns out he had just bought the Hansshow adapter/extension cable and was testing it. His Lightning charged successfully and he asked if I wanted to try it on my Taycan and so I pulled straight into a regular spot and we attached/plugged in and initiated charging via the Tesla app and it worked great.
