Wondering if anyone has obtained this device for accessing Tesla networks and if it is worth it. Did you get a 50 or 60 amp? Please specify and thanks for sharing.

Worth it just for peace of mind when traveling.
I got it, but have not have my 4S CT long enough for any road trips yet.

Used it at home with my Tesla charger. Works fine. I got the 80A version, figure for future proofing in case, there are more Taycans in my future. :)

I already have a Tesla wall charger @ home, so no point installing another one. Mobile charger is still in carrying case unopened.

P.S. - adaptor does not work with Supercharger network, only destination chargers. In case you're making a decision with that in mind.

60 amp mini is a great buy, but get the 80 amp one if you have the 19/22kW AC charger option. Some Tesla destination chargers are actually capable of delivering that amount of power.

I have one because my apartment building only installs Tesla chargers, but it's nice on trips too. Tesla destination chargers are often free and often faster than the standard 5kW J1772 chargers installed.

A good samaritan on this site negotiated a group buy for members. Does anyone have the link to more info? Thank you.

have the mini and the normal TeslaTap. Much prefer the latter as easier to remove from Tesla charger. The mini is an absolute bear to swap often
Both works well when in place

This forum has such a wealth of knowledge about Tesla adapters, including TeslaTap, at your disposal when you use the search feature.

I bought it an leave it in the little space under the trunk floor. Figured it would be good to have if only a level 2 Telsa charger was around. They do not work on the Supercharger network as specified earlier. When my car was getting tint and PPF, they used it to charge the car with their Tesla charger.

get the 60 amp at a minimum. it will prove it's worth when a tesla destination charger is the only available option.

Used my Tesla Tap for the first time today just to test it out. Worked perfectly. Good to have in the car.

Is the Tesla Tap device different from the adapters that come with the Tesla Model 3? We have a model 3 in addition to Taycan and I am just wondering if I need to buy the "Tap."

yes you should buy it because what you have is a converter from j1772 to tesla the tap is the opposite, tesla to j1772.
