Well fortunately a brand new Porsche service center opened 2 miles from my house.
We could all use a Porsche Service Centre just 2 miles from our house. Handy for visiting rights.

Proximity to a Service Center = Less stress. I have two homes, one is 3 miles from a Center the other is 2 miles. Wouldn't have it any other way with this vehicle.

This is a sign of the dying AC onboard charger. My one disappeared many times in 1-2 months sometimes charged sometimes not, finally the yellow circle stayed and not accepted AC charge anymore.
Were you charging when you got the error, or did it happen just turning the car on?

Were you charging when you got the error, or did it happen just turning the car on?
I could charge with the factory charger with 2kW, 11 kW did not work. DC also worked. But the situation became worse by the time. Fortunately Ihave received fast service appointment.

The 11 kw on-board charger in my 22 Taycan failed to AC charge and was replaced about a year after I got the car.

It happened only at the beginning of the charge. Plus red circle on the charger door button.

Generally the symptoms are various depending on the damage of the OBC box. My one died relatively slowly in 4-6 weeks.

I've yet to see a 11 kW OBC fail.
I have had four replaced so far. Granted they may of just not been able to find what the root cause was and that was just their first reaction each time.

These days AC onboard charger is on stock at most of the dealerships, and only 2-3 hours work.

But expensive out of warranty.
If only 2-3hrs of work, it shouldn't be too expensive. The OBC hardware itself was selling for $1,250 IIRC.

Now that you mention it I’ve had a few red charge button experiences at a ChargePoint station in town. But it’s been specific to that spot.

Well, I would take it as a sign. At the begging I got it only on my home 11kW charger, worked everywhere else so thought it is a charger issue but with the other two cars it worked properly. Later it is escalated to other chargers.

My full cost was EUR3,125 including VAT 27%. Waited 3,5 hours for the replace.
But they tested it before for a week because it charged properly for them when the system was cool and did not drive enough to warm up the car properly to create the symptoms
