What are the best conditions for the fastest launch my Taycan is capable of? I know about the SoC and my wheels needs to be in a straight line. But I suspect battery temperature, drive mode outside temperate and probably others things play a part too. What are all conditions that help for the fastest launch possible?

Facing downhill?

Personally, best conditions for launch are with a squealing teenager next to you!

It seems to me that turning traction control off produces a harder launch but obviously you have to weigh the risks with doing so.

Tyre temperature will also help a bit.
SoC cant be too low either

I would like to use launch conrol more often, when Im the first car at a red light ... but those white lines from the pedestrian crossing (that are present just after pretty much every traffic light) make my tyres break traction, even without LC
And I have the fat tyres on the 21", guess the Turbo has too much power :)

I've never tried LC once over the past 2 months since I owned the car. I just couldn't find a good place to do it :(

I use LC a fair bit. Regardless weather conditions (unless it is too wet and less grip as a result) I do consistently 2.8s 0 - 100kmu (CT TS). Easy. At times a 2.9, and never above 3.0s though.
You get used to that as well after a while. I like the braking best (with PCCB setup), hqrd brake from say 100 to 20 or 30kmu and flat out again, preferably with some cutves. Lovely feel.
Enjoy the LC.

I have done a lot of "start" tests on a Formula 1 car before and after any electronic traction control was banned.

With the proviso straight line acceleration from a standstill is by far not the most important characteristic for Formula 1 and first gear ratio used to be non optimal but by far the most important parameter for a good launch when you had plenty of power was grip level, which is almost all tyre and its preparation.

I expect that is why in most tests the launch time is better than the paper spec.
The paper spec will be on the base tyre whereas pretty well every car loaned to testers (and sold, probably) will have better tyres than standard.

Good summer tyres at optimum temperature and leaving the slip control to the electronics would be my guess as optimum, electronic slip control is better than Michael Schumacher so it will be better than you too ;)
