This is a surprise to me, but now that I analyze what you say it makes sense. When I learned early on to look at the label on the car and not use the max PSI on the tires, I thought it’s the same PSI for the car regardless of tire. Pirellis are on mine now and I planned on switching to Michelin when they wear out. So how do I know what PSI to use? Same with my 991 C2S. I guess I did wrong all these years since I followed the label even after I switched over to Michelin. Any advice?
Those were the recommended tyres and the pressures for them in the Ferrari manual.
I don’t know where one would find equivalent data for a Porsche, mine hasn’t been delivered yet. Sorry

I had a concern about tire pressures on the door jamb sticker and the dealer corrected me.

Door jamb says 45psi.
I inflated to 45psi and the pcm noted the deviation to be somthing like +8psi front and +6psi rear. When I inquired, I was told door jamb is references max psi for when the vehicle is fully loaded. Oddly, the recommended pressure for daily driving cannot be found anywhere. I had to decrease the tire pressures until the pcm read no deviation.

Porsche provided an updated Taycan TSB for tires and recommended pressures in May.
See attached. I have not checked to see if these pressures match the PCM "deviations" display.

I have similar experience with my Pan ST. Door jamb says 41 front and 45 rear. At service, the dealer always lowers them to 36 and 39. Perhaps for the reason you state above…?

These pressures sounded really high to me as I recall from what I looked up last and read and run on mine-
RWD, 21" Mission E, partial load summer tires- 35 front, 36 rear. Tires are wearing really fast but very evenly.

My Model S had big fat 20“ Michelin tires. I can’t remember if they were Pilot Sport, but that car was as heavy as the Taycan.

FYI—I have increased the PSI to 42. We’ll see if it makes any difference.
20” rims but what size tyres?

Many thanks.
These pressure numbers seem to match the "PCM-recommendations" for my car, at least when selecting 20" summer tires in the menu.

High temperatures can raise the pressure within your tires, try lowering the tire pressure on your automobile by 30 to 32 psi when it's hot outside, especially in the summer. By reducing it, the values are effectively offset and everything is evened out.
