Hi, when i got my CT4, i got a Porsche screen cleaning spray with a cleaning pad that wraps around the spray. The spray has now run out and i am wondering if i just need to buy a new one or if it can be refilled. If so, does anyone know what fluid is in the spray or what would be best?

I live in a hard water area, so i don't really want to just use tap water. Perhaps distilled water would work? Is there any kind of detergent in there?

Thanks for your advice.

Just use some isopropyl alcohol.
Thanks TaycanCook. I have some of this, but would be concerned that it might damage the screen surface. Have you used this successfully?
Thanks again.

Can you just use simple glass cleaner? Or I’d buy some camera lens cleaner- those will be far more sensitive than a touchscreen and also require the highest level of cleanliness.

Thanks Ben. Glass cleaner sounds like a good way to go. Might check this out tomorrow and see if this works. ?

It’s all basically mild citrus formula.

I find the type of cloth used makes the biggest difference. I use ‘Cheek-e-wipes’ which small ‘ecloths’ but aimed for cleaning up after babies! The e-cloth seems great at lifting grease and dirt with no liquid at all!

I would not use alcohol or a glass cleaner. I would use rinseless wash on a dampened microfiber. Let the product do the work…do not rub hard.

Thanks all for your replies. I was hoping to refill the fluid. I would prefer not to buy a new one, more for reducing plastic waste and reusing, not so much the Porsche tax...? I will do a little more research and will share with the group.

I use the same as for my windows at home.

Mostly distilled water with a little vinegar and a few drops of washing up liquid. Spray that onto a very soft microfiber cloth and wipe over. I got the same advice for our glasses from the local optician.

Same here. Been using a rinseless shampoo on microfiber for all my cars with screens and piano black - I find it the most safe way to clean them.

I actually refilled it today. Pretty easy. I used the same fluid I used for computers: Pixel Perfect.
