I cannot understand, how a performant e-car can be called "Turbo".

I guess this has be covered extensively already.
Don't think about the actual mechanical turbine part. This is just a way to sort models in the lineup. Could either be "Performance", "Plaid", "Hellcat", "z01", "RS", AMG... but all those are already trademarked.

It annoys me too because I detest turbo lag so won’t own a turbo engined car again but the Taycan Turbo is the opposite of a “turbo” in reponse.

It makes sense to me and it's funny how the car purists get so uptight about it. It's just branding. Turbo in English also just means quick/fast.

Porsche have now repurposed "turbo" as being the abbreviation for Turbonite (a recently discovered cheap-looking alloy that looks like it should be used for goth jewellery) which now exclusively adorns the higher trim levels.
